Wow. Im surprised only 1 layer thick for a wall like that. Here we have to pretty much build them as thick as they are high. So bottom coarse would be 3 wide. Then 2 wide, then 1 wide.
I dont build walls. I fix machines. But being around enough construction sites and never seen a retaining wall as high as that with only 1 width. Perhaps things are more relaxed where you are than they are here.
Looking good. A tip to improve the straightness of your wall: run a string line every other course and use that to align the faces of the stone. If the string gets in your way, snap a chalk line on the lower course. Happy to see a drainage line behind the wall. Lot's of guys (clowns) out here think the wall will "weep" enough on its own, since the joints aren't mortared.
@@jarrettlott8185You should. The cost is so little that it doesnt make sense to rely on the wall’s ability to weep through the joints. All the commercial jobs I’ve done called for drain pipe.
I assure you it is. All my years of trimming palms this is by far the fastest and least pain full way to trim these palms. The leaves are very pointy and seem to poke more often when using loppers or clippers. Like and subscribe to support my channel. Thanks.
Great, thanks. Mine has got so bushy it's overgrown the border and I was wondering if it was ok to cut it back and turn it into a more vertical shape 👍
Nice job, now I have an idea what to do with the unsightly ones in front of my house. Was gonna dig them up. Now I’m gonna trim them as shown. Thank you.
Did the client request you also remove the other shoots? I like when they bunch into 3-4 different palms. They take foreverrrrrrr to grow that’s why I’m asking.
This video was horrible and shows how lazy you guys are and grown men don’t take the easy way out and also this was actually the longer way of doing this smh

Great video family… we do it the same way down here in Florida, just burn the grass out and add more dirt lol… I’ve used that machine before as well… removing rocks…
Not True, We've done this several times and have never had an issue. Bermuda, Zoysia and St. Augustine have all done well using this technique. We have not tried other grasses.
@A-Veteran Land Scape & Site Work I've used this method several times with Fescue and bluegrass, it works great and avoids harmful chemicals as well as saves prep cost of a complete tear out. This is definitely the way to do it if you can! Great work!
Could you use those same limestone blocks to build a complete house with? Also about the dimensions of the limestone blocks height width length, rough estimate?
@@uknownsip293 Insulation, gaps where insects can get in. All service lines like plumbing and electricity would be a pain to install. But don't let me talk you out of it. I think if someone decided to build a house out those blocks it would be a site to see.
Quick question, was it required based on soil to put that base layer of limestone blocks down? Im being told as long as I have some base gravel that these blocks will not 'tilt' move etc. Thoughts?
