just ordered the onyx 6 for 90 bucks on sale online and same website has beolit20 at 700 bucks. Amazing they have comparable sound as such extreme price difference. Onyx series always impressed me as best sound for price speakers out there
there's a way to avoid reset (bass re enable) after turning them off and on again? It's anoying the need to disable the bass every time (Onyx Studio 7)
Honestly the only thing extreme about the whole extreme line is the price!!! $350-$199 for a 40 watt speaker the extreme 2 and a 50 watt extreme 3. And the kicker is you don't even get that little bit unless it's plugged in.
I have access to both of these. Charge 5 is really a close range (under 15ft) or indoor speaker, bass falls flat at >50% vol. If you're going outdoors absolutely go Xtreme 3. It's way better than Charge 5 outdoors. If size & money are no object, just get the Boombox for outdoors, but the Xtreme 3 is a good middleground, especially if you can pick it up on sale for around $200 like it often is.
Onyx Studio has that ambient, non-directed sound. Good for background playing, mood creation, partying etc. To me, the 6 sounded better - in the 7 the mids seem to have receded a bit... and the sound has become more ambient/ less immediate.
Don’t waste your money on this product it’s absolutely terrible!!! I had mine for 2 weeks and the sound just suddenly sounded so bad!!! Like a muffler about to fall off a car. Plus the headache of setting it up.
