Nice work, love to see people treat these magnificent creatures with the respect they deserve. More chance our grand-children will get to fish for them! 👌👍
Absolutely beautiful Tony. I’m a long time subscriber but I’ve never fly fished the Otway streams. I’m heading over tomorrow, I know it’s late season but we’ve had two cool wet ones in a row so I hope that the streams are not too high and that the trout population is strong. Any advice would be appreciated.
This is possibly one of the nicest videos that I have watched on small stream flyfishing. Excellent footage with gentle non jarring music. Lovely looking water. I mostly fly fish the small creeks near Healesville but have wanted to fish the Otways for some time. I'll have to plan on it for when the season reopens in September. May I ask what flies you both were using? In small creeks I generally begin with a bead head nymph slung under a Humpy or Stimulator. I also often just tie on a Black Woolly Worm. It can represent many edible bugs to a hungry trout! Cheers, Steve.
Hello, I am new to Humboldt county and would love to know where this is? I fly fish and do not get much of chance to trout fly fish in redwood country. I mostly catch surf perch on the fly, as last winter was difficult for steelhead. I have been trying to do trying to do research on Coastal cutthroat fishing in similar environments.Thank you for a great video very well made.
I'm building my Ches 17 lt at the moment. Got the hull done. Unfortunately i didn't get a kit, just the plans. That said i wanted to learn the whole process, lofting etc, so i can build a fishing boat next
@@Brenna79 Let me ask you the same question, did you build the kayak? I built the 17lt from plans only and it turned out great. That was about 10 years ago and it's still in excellent condition.
