Why can't every man be like Athos? My heart 💔 breaks for him. Out of all the Musketeers he is the one that suffers the most. I love this show. I stumbled on to it, very sad it is no longer on air.

I have you to thank for that <3 [always been confused by the 'FUN' in the title, really. 'to cry your heart out and never forget it' would be much more appropriate!]
This is a wonderful video - I've always liked the song but I was really impressed while watching your video how well it really fits Athos (or even any of our four Musketeers 'cos they all have their own struggles and dark moments, don't they?). I was wondering if you could tell me which episode the scene from 2:22 onwards is from - I can't remember ever having seen that before. That's Aramis and Marsac in Savoy, right?
Hi Hannah P, Sorry took me so long to respond. I haven't logged onto RU-vid in ages...Thank you for commenting on this video. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. 2.22 was from Season 1 Ep 4 "The Good Soldier"- yes, Aramis and Marsac in the Massacre of Savoy flashback. And the scenes taken thereafter were all from different episodes in Season 1.

ATHOS, a man every woman wants to have, all women will love. This type of male is not today. This respect for the woman is no more. I would have lived at the time, just to experience a man like Athos ......
Athos is definitely no one's dream man, neither in the show nor in the books... An alcoholic with rage issues and illusions of grandeur, a misogynist who murdered his wife... Yeah, hard pass.
I can relate to this video and song in so many personal ways. Athos has always been my favorite on the show. He embodies the role of career soldier, royal blood, and strong leadership so well. As for demons or difficult times we've all been there at one time or another. But another way for me to relate to this is I'm a US Army veteran and retired from law enforcement to boot. Both of which the Musketeers in truth were. I'm also a history nut. The video in itself is a piece of art. Thanks for making it. Look forward to seeing others.

HawkFest RoG No, I am not looking at the wrong guys- I've done my research long before this show was ever thought of. As to what I was talking about- its the demons (aka personal problems) which we all face everyday of our lives- some small- some we need help in dealing with. If you understand what it is like to be a soldier- remember honor and service to our country and the men/women we serve with. Walk with pride in who you are and what you are doing- don't ever give up on your goal. As for royal blood- Athos's character- if you dig deep enough into the actual history does have royal blood from his father. And leadership comes from within, Athos does not actively seek out the position of leadership in fact at the close of season 2 he reluctantly accepts the Captain's position which he has been given. As Treville told him you do not seek it out but the men look to you as their leader so I chose you to fill my shoes. That's not quite verbatim but is the jest of it.
wow cant believe this isn't more popular, really like how you synced athos' good and bad times with the lyrical progressions, most fan vids don't do that. well done, nice hopeful feeling for athos from this :)
