Great review. I have 5 pairs of Keen and they are sooooo comfy. Altberg are my winter choice but Keen for other seasons and general comfy wear especially for support and comfort for my dodgy knee.
That was a very good presentation of safety equipment and information, but I do have a few questions: Are there different life jackets for swimmers vs. non-swimmers? Do they have life jackets for adults that have the neck ring on them? Is it important to have all your flotation devices Coast Guard approved? I plan to purchase a customized 45’ pontoon boat…what are the best life jackets to get for this type of water craft? The boat can carry (24) people and by Maritime Law you must provide life jackets for all the persons on your vessel…how do you go about choosing sizes for individuals who may be a passenger on you boat? Thanks again.
Hi Dream Maker, thank you for your comment and questions. I will do my best to answer the queries that I can :-) 1. Yes there are different lifejackets for swimmers vs non-swimmers...it is recommended that non swimmers wear a lifejacket of AT LEAST 100N. 2. Yes, you can get lifejackets for adults with teh neck collar on them. These are usually 100N. 3. It is important to make sure that your PFD is CE marked. In Europe, there are 4 marked standards, and these should be marked on the lifejacket. 4. Regarding your own boat, I would take advice on this from your local maritime agency, as our laws here might be slightly different, especially in the case of a commercial craft. Hope this is helpful! See you again on our channel I hope :-)
