People coming in hate for the way you guts look..I think you guys look great! Two handsome Chicano's! You look Chicano, so what else are you supposed to look like? Continue to just be you! Adam I applaud you! No matter if you take orders, tend bar, push a broom etc. At the end of the day mijo you are a REAL man!... taking care of your family! And yes REAL men are sensitive, they do cry, they do talk about their feelings because they are strong enough to do so! I have gay primos and I've seen first hand how they get treated and talked about in the family. And I hate it! But when I see my gay primo's I only see my primo's, and I continue to love and accept them. Hang out with them, continue to build our relationship. Why? Cause their my family, my blood, my cousin! And yes I love and accept their boyfriends too! Adam, God is who He is to you! Sometimes, and it's sad, the church will condem or make you feel ashamed more than anyone else. But our Father God is loving, merciful, and forgiving! In good and bad He's there for us. He created us in His image! Yes even with our sins and short comings! Mijo prayer isn't meant to be formal, it's meant to be intimate. It's your time to talk to God, so talk to him baby. He wants to hear from you! And to the two people who hosted this Thank you I truly appreciate this! Mija I've been through alot of the same. Coming from a family of Pastors, evangelists, worship leaders, women, myself included, who are in high calling of ministry. I too was a drug addict, involved in criminal activity, ran the streets hard, but God turned it all around! I tell my kids to this day "My past does not define me. It doesn't predict where I'm going or who I'll be. But I did learn from it. It made me who I am and gives me the strength and courage to face tomorrow! And continue to push to get where I gotta go!" Man, first thing is first. You have to LISTEN to your partner and not talk over partner. Break intergenerational trauma and heal. Mexican culture is so taboo. Best advise don’t try to change people just heal and move away from them.
