Man. We built it for the bikes and it’s been pouring buckets. I need to change the title as I’m sure people are looking for the bikes. My bad. I’ll get some vids of bikes on it as soon as it dries out

Very cool!. What speaker did you use?

Thank you! I used the Digitrax SP53188B speaker and enclosure set up. It has perfect sound and just sounds better than most of the smaller speakers I've tried. I have it over the rear axle facing down and it seems to get the sound dispersed perfectly!

Well the micro seems to work just fine. It ran pretty much flawlessly until I recently added in a NCE No halt capacitor. Now I've got some bugs to figure out. :( but other than that it runs great. I don't try to pull a dozen cars or anything so I think if you run it understanding it's a smaller motor and controller you'll be fine. I'll let you know what I find out on the no halt unit.

+Mike Sonosky. Hey no problem! I too am new into the world of DCC. I've built a layout with my dad and it's the first one since I was 8.....and that was many years ago! Lol! DCC is a lot to wrap your head around. But it pays off for sure. I'm not home at the moment but will be happy to take video of how I crammed everything in the MP later tonight for you. I will also measure the speaker as well. To be honest I've converted over probably 15 locos in the past year so it gets a little fuzzy as to what has what. Also. Being new to DCC I would HIGHLY recommend the Loksound programmer for the decoders and programming. It makes it sooooooo much easier and quicker. Some tweeks with that to get it to work as well but it's so worth it. And sorry my video isn't better lol. I'll try to get some track video soon.

Hi Mike, Ok, sorry for the delay. But I finally got some time to take the MP15 apart to see what the issue is with my no halt unit and have some info for you. The speaker I use is 37mmL x 18mmW x 9.5mmD. It's in a small enclosure as well. I had to Dremel some of the bottom of the radiator off but my speaker is as far forward as it can go. Just behind the lights. In fact it smashes the light wires down pretty good. But it fits. Tightly......but it fits. Behind that I have the no halt unit from NCE and then behind that the decoder. The decoder actually sneaks into the cab just a hair. It's not visible from the outside but it's pushed back in there pretty far. So it's all along the top. I have found it's easier to keep the decoder and all the junk sort of as one "unit" and keep it part of the shell vs trying to mount it on the chassis of the loco. Makes the maintenance much easier when its all mounted to the shell. I use 3m thin emblem double sided tape to hold it all in place. If that doesn't explain it enough let me know. I would be happy to email you some pics. I don't think I can post any pics on here in the reply area. But I'll be happy to send you pics of anything you need. Hopefully I can get my no halt unit figured out today! Have a great day!
