such an underrated game, still receiving updates and love from the devs after all these years after release, companies such as frontier could learn from you guys, the multiplayer is a feature i did not know i needed till i had it ❤️
I just purchased my 3rd copy so I can multiplayer with both kids. Thanks for your had work on this!! This update got me excited to play game again... its been awhile.
Thank you!! I've been playing for a long time. Was just so glad there was a park builder I could play on my Linux PC. May I suggest a future possibility? There was a PS2 roller coaster game I used to play and they included game stalls, like hoops or squirt the target, which were like little mini games you could play. Its just a thought :)
Glad you've been enjoying the game :) That's a cool idea, likely not something we could easily add right now, but it would be fun for arcade areas etc.
I made one of the early mods in this game (like 2015-16 ish?)! :) Lights and particles. I'm 99% sure they don't work these days but it was amazing to watch this game grow (and still grow!!!) :D
What a great design!! Thank you so much for making this game!!! I've strated play RCT in middle school and hoping they would make a 3D version, but none of the later game could compare with Parktect, it's just so beautiful and so fun to play with!!! I've bought all the expansion packs, spend hours and hours on it and had a lot of great time!!!
Real talk: I’ve been following this game for a sizeable chunk of my life, ever since a friend of mine at school learned that I was into theme parks and showed me the Kickstarter page. I first played the game when Depots were brand new, to put things in perspective. Around 2015. I have countless hours in the game, and have so many saves that it literally crashed my childhood laptop and forced me to upgrade to my modern PC. This is by far my favourite theme park simulator game and has become a comfort game across my teenage years and into adulthood. I’m not the most active in the games continuing community, but I make sure to keep up with the community contests and the amount of freedom that this game presents, even with vanilla, still impresses me. This simple 2D game has way more depth than its 3D contemporaries, it’s truly impressive I’m so happy to see this game get continual support, and I wish Texelraptor luck with whatever future projects they create.
Oh wow, that's a long time! We've had similar experiences with other theme park games growing up, which ultimately led us to making Parkitect. So it has come full circle in a way now, happy to hear that :)
@@bates64 Hey, thanks :) Was fun to write the devlogs, and I love reading other games devlogs too - we plan to start doing them again for our new game as soon as it's properly announced what it is.
I have RCT3, PlanCo, and even Park Beyond in addition to Parkitect, and Parkitect is by far my favorite game in which I've logged an embarrassingly large number of hours!
Thanks! Luckily I never dared push the prices so far to optimize so even with that in mind people seemed to enjoy the ride/price. Thanks for the clarification though! /R
