Video Explosion is a Hip Hop/R&B/Soul/Reggae and Pop video program. The program debuted in Queens , NY in 1991. Produced and Directed by Haywood "Hollywood" Oakman , a native of Queens , NY. The program was shot in all boroughs of NYC , and New Jersey. The crew also traveled around the country and over seas to interview artist at parties , seminars , and music showcases. Interviews and segments were hosted by Patrick Ferreol , Kyle Lilly , Byron Patterson , Asonya Johnson Oakman ,and Adeleke. The original hosts and crew of Video Explosion met at Center For the Media Arts in NYC. From there the program was birthed and was New York City's hottest urban video program in the 1990's. Broadcasting on leased and public access television. The program was a grand mix of interviews , live performances , current movie reviews , and fashion show coverage. It made me sad that Organized Konfusion didn't get the recognition they deserved! Three albums and it seemed like they couldn't get a break. I've listen to Pharoahe Monch in high school and I began going back to where he originally came from which was Organized Konfusion. "The Equniox" was definitely a slept on album like the other two! I've once listened to that album more than the rest. But as I grew older I began to have love for all of them. Each has their own formulas! I hope Monch and Prince Po could get back with a fourth album and another! 5 albums would be good enough to close the legacy
