We are two engineers with H1 Hummers that want to keep the innovation and development of the Hummer and HMMWV platform continually evolving in the aftermarket. We use the truck hard, on and off-road. We keep seeing areas for improving the platform inside and out. Every product that we develop goes through exhaustive R&D process and where necessary full FEA (Finite Element Analysis). We both have highly modified H1’s on 42” tires and have countless aftermarket parts. Over the years we have witnessed many aftermarket parts and suppliers’ customer service not meet our expectations. There is also a lot of theory and assumptions about the platform that we intend on clarifying and improving. Just because something appears to be working, does not mean it cannot work better.
We are one of the few H1 vendors that actually use their trucks hard off-road.
This is the humvee content I'm here for! Would love to see how you did the more complicated areas like the footwells. What product did you use (I understand it's Dynamat but I thought they had a few different products), and do you plan to do more than one layer?
Could you put a link purchase this product? And I'd like to see a vid addressing the aftermarket for cv axles and/or whether or not/or at what HP rating one might need to upgrade said axles?? Subbed Thanks for the info
Great video guys. Someone needs to tell the internet, in an authoritative way that "just swap in a duramax" into H1's and HMMWV's is more than just a weekend job. Certain asshats have made the uninformed think that it's as simple as just an oil change.
There's no size marking on the plier I used. My set has three different sizes and I use the largest one for this application. Basically the size that fits snugly on the snap ring.

Thanks for doing this as it makes a lot more sense than the instructions alone. But if you do a follow-up, I'd love to see this done while on the truck. That's how I'm going to have to do mine and imagine most folks buying the MM kit will be in the same boat.

The OEM locking spindle nut rely on a small screw to hold a clamp load on locking nut to the spindle. They are failure prone especially when running aftermarket wheels with significant change in offset from factory spec. Failure is catastrophic and usually happen while vehicle is in motion, wheel & tire being eject from the vehicle at speed! For this reason , it is the #1 recommended modification for any H1 & HMMWV owner using their vehicle on & off the the road.
@@poonnintechachaiponpoj5736 I don't know that mine were checked and seated before putting the lock ring and snap ring on. Will I have done any damage to anything not seating everything first? Is there a way of checking to see if I did any damage? Also, is there a possibility of failure if not seated correctly?
@@cpamma You can check for play between spindle and the hub casing when the tires are off the ground, there should be no movement as bearing is preloaded to 25 ft/lbs. Any slack indicate incorrect preload on the bearings and should be addressed immediately. There's a potential damage by not seating bearing correctly. To check, you would have to get back in there and check the bearings & races to assess the condition.
Poonan ftw! Love it! This is something that every H1 owner should do on Day 1 of ownership or else your wheels will fly off on the highway! Do the electric vac pump install next, or a MP2225 install. And no these recommendations aren't at all influenced by my recent MM purchases :D

I'm grateful that ModMafia did my P400 install everytime I put the key in the ignition. Never have to worry about that baby cranking up and singing her sweet, sweet music to me. Plus, I can say that Poonan caressed my downpipe :P
I'm surprised no one has developed a dana 60 diff replacement over that AMC 20 diff. A stronger diff and stronger half shafts would make the humvee indestructible.

Fantastically put together video! After watching this I am wondering if my H3 Alpha Adventure Lifted 7 inches on 38s would be enough to keep up with you guys! Some of the stuff looks pretty crazy! Anyway great video! I look forward to more!
Kind of curious as to why you guys are starting a new channel instead of posting to Humvee Life. Is it because the owner of that channel moved to Florida and its harder to coordinate events?
Incredibly well put together video guys! The production value is outstanding! I don't have a H1 myself, but a H3 Alpha. Gotta say the all the H1s looked like they crawled through everything easily. I wonder if a modified H3 with 37s or 40s could keep up!
