As per Behram ji himself , this MH 01 V 521 Thar had SZ2600 crde differently tuned engine which was league aparts as compared to Thar crde with SZ2498 aka 2.5L engine which later got into production.
Wow!! Thats a great Achievement. I read lot about this vehicle that your father has put in Team BHP. Congratulations!! Salute to your father and appreciate you .
Haii, I have 2015 model in its original shape. Am 90’s kid and it was my dream and I owned it. Crazy thing is that why 2020 kids excited when they see my Jeep. Hehe, its something transferred through genus.

Congratulations Cyrus! So happy for you. You've not bought a car but a part of your father's memories and rich legacy. And that's priceless. Happy to see her reunited with her rightful owner. Looking forward to the rebuild!
Dear Cyrus > I had the great privilege to work with your Dad to design, develop, and manufacture the 4WD transfer case for the Thar. Your Dad was truly one of a kind. There is no doubt that the Thar is his bequest to not just Mahindra but India as well. I am sure he is beaming from where he is now and blessing us to go on to do bigger and better things. God bless!
Hello Cyrus, This is fantastic news, I'm delighted to hear, that MH 01 V 521 finally reaches her deserving home. They have done a lot of hanky panky on the car, I'm sure you know what needs to be done, and DB Sir will guide you in totality. As one among the few who have got his hands dirty on the car, in case you need anything, just let me know. I hope you, Veera Madam and Darayus are doing well, please convey my best personal regards. I can understand the emotions, when I saw our family car (sold to someone) that was bought by my dad - I was speechless for few min. Get this beauty restored Cyrus as a tribute!
Congratulations Cyrus on purchasing the first ever thar your dad ever built. I was there in Alibaug when your dad bought it for testing. At that time it performed so well surprising us all. We were all solid axle fans at that time,so for a ISF suspension jeep to perform that well was a hard pill to swallow. Cheers and cherish it forever. Looking forward to see the restoration build series.
Cyrus I knew your dad very well and had a small role to play in the release of the Thar in India. Your dad and I not only met at various offroad events we chatted often over the phone. When this prototype was ready he had it sent to Hyderabad for me and another enthusiast to review and give feedback. We loved it and gave the thumbs up to Behram. Internally most in senior mgt were not willing to bet on the Thar and your dad was very dejected. He called often to vent his frustration and it was in one of those conversations of complete despair that I asked Behram to give me Anand Mahindras email. I wrote to Anand who responded immediately. I explained how the Thar represented core values of Mahindra. He agreed and asked me to formulate a tweet about the Thar. Anand started marking out emails to senior mgt and in no time they took a decision to release the Thar. Your dad was ecstatic. I bought a Thar from the very first lot that arrived in Hyd. I miss Behram. I once suggested to Anand that in memory of your dad a special edition be released. He liked the idea but I guess it didn't see the light of day. Your dad was a darling and I have fond memories of my association. Glad I could be of some help.
@@CyrusDhabharwe must do what suits our risk appetite. One thing I can promise you knowing what I know about how the algorithm, ops audiences* work, if you’re consistent with it that day is not far off. We live in a world of niches now, we can find great examples in tavarish, hoovie, harry.. I can go on and on.. Only regret you may have on that day would be y’d you not do it sooner. However - however it may go here on, as a person in entertainment and a thorough automobile enthusiast, I am truly excited for the stories you have to say on this channel. Cheers and all power to you mate.
Congratulations Bro, I am so happy for you , happy miles, I wish you the very best in life , continue making memories and carry the legacy forward which your dad earned and proudly passed it on to you. Good luck bro.
Every bit of emotion in this video speaks the history behind the Thar which I never knew till this video. You should be proud Cyrus and just can't wait to see how it develops, the prototype project and this channel. We need to see more from you out here. All the best.
I still cant believe how far the Thar has come along from its humble beginings , what started off as a pet project for Mr. Dhabar has transformed into such an icon . I remember the first time i went through Mr. Dhabar's team-bhp page and how passionate he was about cars , the guy was such an inspiration , taking inputs from every enthusiast on the forum and working tirelessly to constantly improve on the car and giving people what they actually wanted ! I remember reading about how thar came to be and got teary eyed that day and even today , going through his threads brings tears to my eyes . Mr. Dhabar was such an inspirational personality and thanks to you cyrus , his legacy is gonna live forever . I can literally see you talk about him and his stories all day long man , and what better way to get to know more about him than his own son . Can't wait to see what youve got in bag for us . I dont care about the visuals man , just overwhelm me with good memories. Goodluck for the channel man !
