This is bullshit if it’s done at the public expense. Study. Why the privilege for athletes vs. scholars? Because they want special treatment, continuing the cycle of coddling kids along who just want to play games. Meanwhile, there are kids who also haven’t matured yet who get one shot at the SATs. They don’t get a whole extra year just to spend preparing for that test. Can’t figure out why schools allow this for otherwise bright kids. Join the military.
I am far more impressed with a follower that isn't telling his testimony about how God delivered him from all types of sin but rather, he ran the race and honored a holy God by resisting sin. Way more of a warrior for God than my story of living in sin while claiming His name.
