this looks like the Dai gaiwans I got at west china tea. same look and feel. same metallic sound. same drying. they only sell a few at a time though. if TaoT can source these to sell, I would HIGHLY reccomend them

I have the same dilemma, maybe different reasons: right now we have a small and prosperous tea store, 99% of sales are online, but everyday someone comes over, we have a lot of time to talk, try teas, I can show what gongfu is all about, share my passion. I’d love to open a tea house but I’m worried that the magic we have now would disappear and that working in a tea house would be way more exhaustive.

That tea caddy sure has personality. Great points on all counts. No need to neglect any of the senses, it all accumulates into an experience.

I love to use glass, like you, to better see the tea leaves and liquor. But for storage I believe it's best to keep the leaves in the dark and cool which a clay pot is better for. Although I certainly use ziplocks and all kinds of containers for mine in different circumstances!
