i haven’t finished the video so i don’t know if they covered this…but you need at least one salto element in an xcel gold floor routine. meaning she needs an aerial, front tuck, or a back tuck somewhere in that routine. she should get .5-1.0 deduction for that. also, if i remember correctly any leg separation is a .2 deduction…
Helped a lot! Falling forward on my first try was a real shock, but now it's a bit predictable so I've put cushions around my yoga mat to brace my fall. Still haven't won the 'save game' as yet 😅
Finally getting it and then being told you have a stress reaction in your foot so you can’t do anything for months then having nerve damage because they poor you in about because they thought it was a fracture when it wasn’t and then since I dance and this was for acro having the routines coming up and still haven’t been able to be spotted for one since last October and won’t be able to until we start classes again yay
Is it suggested that gymnastics enter the support/repulsion phase with a slight arch in their back as their feet remain behind them so as to snap upwards as they block or flat/stretched body and allow all the blocking upwards come from the hands/arms?

Hurdle first leg down in front of u hands on ur left or right (depending if ur a leftie or rightie) to the side like a cartwheel and squeeze ur legs ur straight together. Then keep Then together until u reach the ground . Then rebound ❤
@@angelamooney5238 thank you for replying and your videos have really helped me improve but I simply cannot rebound? When I try to land, my legs bend and stomp on the ground and my hands don't come off together meaning only one comes off at the right time. And then obviously considering this my chest doesn't rise fast enough to rebound either. This is a lot but do you know how I can improve? Should I focus on strengthening my arms etc?

Sorry to hear that you feel this way. Keep working through it, go back to the basics of the skill and work on elements to help the skill. Work with your coach to work through it.
Your mind needs to remember that you've got this :) Connecting the mind with the body is sometimes a process, but have faith in yourself that you'll be able to work through it. Work on skills that support the fly away, practice in the pit, etc.
