This was great! I had the pleasure of seeing Jerry Jeff in a concert in the early 70's, and I loved him ever since. Thank you Todd, it was so good to see and hear him again, and your not bad neither. :)

Tood is rare Gem of a human being!! Everytime I hear/see this video it really hits you, the surprise of his friend Jerry Jeff, Amanda Shires and her Husband the Amazing Jason Isbell all on stage to be part of a profound moment of musical history...I've been watching and playing this video for my friends and family since it came out(every Christmae Eve since, with my Family and a Drink while it plays)...Cheers and Thanks everyone on stage, especially Jerry Jeff Walker...
I saw Todd at Woolys in Des Moines, IA and loved his show. I started checking out his UTube videos and came across this gem. Anytime I feel blue, I watch this and always feel better.
Considering that Jerry co-wrote the theme song for ACL, it adds yet another level to the amazing convergence of talent that night. I most likely would have been in tears if I had been there.
He pointed me out in the front of the crowd and said he would take requests from anyone except that mother fucker right there! And pointed right at me 😂
It's got everything. The beyond amazing song, a couple great musicians in their own right, Todd being unabashedly thrilled while also giving JJ the legend his space while he happily and humbly does his thing and danced a bit. Man, I get why a few people said they teared up while watching. And TY to whoever posted it.
The year was 1974 and i got to see Jerry Jeff & the lost gonzo band at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix , Az. Thanks to Gary Kinsey aka Toad Hall from KDKB fm . RIP Gary. Gary has a great obit video on youtube. missed but not forgotten.
It's obvious Jerry is his hero and he got to share one of those experiences that make life worth living. Darn right he loves him, like a young boy loves his Daddy.
Glad I listened to this one, so sweet, as I've gotten older66 now, been listening to Jeff Jeff Walker since my teens, now I tear up when he sings of Mr Bojangles dog that died.
