This game is a masterpiece in every way... Wish we got DLC with some new weapons and boons! Hades II is here but it's different characters, different weapons, different gameplay...etc. Both are masterpieces in storytelling though
He says “this time” both times. I wonder what happens with no Olympian’s on the very first run. And the very first time you meet hades in the final area
I refuse to believe that Zagrues was beaten by Chronos in Hades 2 when his sister is able to somehow defeat him. This is why Mary Sues and Girl Bosses have ruined not only Hollywood but now gaming.
There isn't any mary sue this time around, I think. The story requires zagreus to be defeated. For melinoe to take charge upon chronos. How would you have the story unfold?
@@jyotirani8187 Just felt like Melinoe was forced into this sequel just to pander to a certain demographic and again, why was she able to defeat Chronos when Zagreus lost? They could've kept Zagreus to be the one who saves his family from Chronos, have him grown more as well as for new weapons, maybe he lost it during the fight with Chronos and now requires new weapons.
@DenLim123 I haven't played the sequel yet, but I believe her witch powers came into play. She is more into witchy stuff, while our boy zagreus is more hands to hands type of guy.
I have tried so many damn times to get this. Beating it isn't hard- it's getting rid of the final boon you get while grabbing the satyr sack by finding a pool of purging in a path that doesn't get you another boon.
A great boonless run to try is one where you make use of the Canon and roleplay as a mobile artillery unit during the whole run, Sisyphus brace max level and all boonless talents on the Mirror. *Time to go boom*
Honestly Hades? If Zag makes it to you with no help, you really ought to just give it to him. Just be like “yeah, you’re good, Zag. Say hi to your mom for me”.
@@talon-xq6qh Yeah its the whole "Cthonian vs Olympian" gods thing but family tree-wise in this game Hades is Zeus's brother and Zag is Hades' son so y'know, they're as much Hades' family as Zag's, even if the big man doesn't want to think about it.
Fun fact, it's implied that the Mirror of Darkness doesn't grant Zagreus entirely new power from Nyx, but rather allows Zagreus to focus his own errant power into tangible boosts within himself. So fighting EM4 Hades without Boons with a maxed out mirror is Zag and Hades both fighting at their max power.
I managed to get this dialogue with Guan Yu and Sysiphe's trinket. Also it works if you get Chaos boons along the way to help you a bit in this journey.
AAA devs would never spend a dime to add two sets of dialogue to address a situation 99% of the players will never be in. This is the difference between a game being made as a piece of art and as a mere product.
That night or day not sure its hell ! Zagreus walked tall towards his father Hades without boons and received the worst ass whooping of his god dam life .... To never be reborn again ...
What I love about these comments, is that all these people probably got to the point where they can reliably defeat Hades in almost every run, myself included. I love the skill curve of this game and how climbable it is!
