This song takes me back to 2000. I was 15/16, and it was one of my favourites that summer, along with the album and Weller's Heliocentric. Loved the psychedelic vibes. At the time, it felt like Oasis were trying to progress too. I remember Noel saying he wanted the album to sound like it was made in 1999, not 1969.
All I can think of is that Andy, Gem, and Liam were only contracted to have a certain amount of songs on albums so this had to be left off as a b-side...
Is it me or does this follow the same structure and sound like I hope I think I know ??? Locked up in chains for the rest of my life no one else to blame but me. They tried to put me in my place, and that is why I gotta keep running…. That’s only one example!!!!
Dig out your soul should have had this as the tracklisting: 1. Bag it up. 2. The turning 3. Waiting for the rapture 4. The shock of the lightning 5. I'm outta time 6. Get off your high horse lady (yes its a nice interlude ala treefingers on Kid A. 7. Falling down 8. To be where theres life 9. I believe in all 10. Come on outside (Liam.on vocals) 11. The boy with the blues. This setlist would have put it close to a par with DM and MG.
It baffles me that this and 'I Believe In All' were not included in Dig Out Your Soul. They are better than some of the filler tracks on Dig Out Your Soul.
