That opening statement "i acknowledge ex land" id the most blatent example of American cultural imperialism i have ever seen. Never mind it be nauseating in its levels of virtue signalling.
I can't believe why King Charles III would appoint someone like that. Recommended by the incompetent Prime Minister, a former activist is now the most powerful woman in the country. What a joke!!!
The King has no personal discretion in these matters. He must follow the advice of the Australian Prime Minister. The reason why the Commission is countersigned by the Prime Minister is precisely to indicate that the Prime Minister, rather than the King, bears political responsibility for the appointment.
She stands for Australian values by supporting the statehood of a genocidal death cult of Hamas. Against the rules of the Labor Party. So forgive me when I doubt all your fine words of “inclusion” and “appreciating” the opportunities offered by Australia. Right. The opportunity to turn Australia into the Talibani hellhole your father escaped.
Quite ridiculous that a supposedly "independent nation" still has the King of another country, the UK , as its head of state and politicians etc swear allegiance to a British monarch. Along with British ensigns for flags it makes Australia still essentially an autonomous subsidiary of Britain , not a sovereign country!
They do not swear allegiance to any "British monarch", but rather to the King of Australia. who is the embodiment of the constitutional principles upon which the Australian system of government is based (a parliamentary government under the Crown). Even though the offices of King of the United Kingdom and King of Australia are occupied by the same physical person , they are two legally separate offices, subject to different legal and constitutional regulations.
@@BucyKalman Already know that . However the "King of Australia" IS STILL British and first and foremost the BRITISH Monarch , and resides in Britain . You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Does not matter how it is dressed up legally, Australia's head of state is the British King and Australia is under the BRITISH Crown and officially a British Commonwealth Realm , so not technically sovereign ! Politically independent yes , but still not fully sovereign being under Britain's Crown.
True . It is a joke that we still have the King of the United Kingdom as our Head of State , when as Australians we should be electing our own Australian Head of State !!!
Try learning real full history not constructed one What was done in thousands of years to establish a global nation instead of disparate groups of tribes
Geezzzz. What we don't need. Another TSUing Senator (Thinking shit up). Completely irrelevant to the many problems we faced.... most caused by DAS SFN NFI Politicians. GEEZZZ.... WE NEED MORE ONE NATION Reps! Yes, she is right on Farmers being ripped off! Pauline and Malcolm have been saying this for years!
What an absolute disgrace, Imagine a Male appointed GG saying "we need respect for men, Opportunities for some women, and a place in society for women, the Feminazis would have a field day, there would be demands of apology flying from every female quarter and of course the following capitulation and apology by the GG, but what do we have here COMPLETE SILENCE from men and the establishment. Sorry guys if you want equality you have to fight for it.
As a Brit, who is also a republican here, it is sad to see your head of state have to swear allegiance to a King, a random bloke the other side of the world (he’s also random to Britain except he lives here), and that the PM gets the ultimate choice on who to choose as your Governor General rather than Parliament or the People, but still... congratulations on your new de facto Head of State.
I’m a republican from Australia. It is annoying but our prime minister choosing the Governor General is better than the monarch or the British government choosing.
@@SiDjack definitely, we have a head of state who was supposedly picked by god which is obviously a load of bollucks, even fairly religious monarchists probably don’t believe that.
I respect ur opinion but in modern world today, Constitutional monarchy is better option of government than a republic. the only problem UK has its politicians who r out of touch with the Public, on the other side the Royals r working towards various problems overlooked by the government and r more in touch with the public.....pls don't take it for granted....and btw those "Not My King" guys sucks.....
She is a Republican. . How can she be sworn in by the Monarchy that she doesn't believe in!! . . Also this new Governor General for Australia, Samantha Mostyn, is married to a Barrister called - Simeon Beckett. Simeon Becket just happened to be on the Council for the Bill Heffernen Royal Commission Enquiry… The same Royal Commission that found there was a list of 28 Pedophiles, from high ranking Police Officers and a FORMER PM, on the list.. I'll leave it there . . .
As a British immigrant to this country , I can see why so many Aussies are Republican. Why as a supposedly independent and proud country would any of you still want to be subjects of MY COUNTRY,S King ? Grow up Australia.😮
Arrival 14:00 Smoking 13:00 Salute 15:30 Procession 16:30 Speech 28:00 Simeon and I 44:00 Heavy gun salute 47:00 Welcome to country 50:00 National anthem 55:00
Yay, albo has wrecked the office of governor-general by installing a highly political woman to hold the position. Seriously, what next! H.M the King should sack Sam and bring back Sir David Hurley. The Governor-General should always be above politics, Sam is just too political to hold this position. God save this nation, God save our system on non-political constitutional monarchy, God save the King.
You are aware serving ministers have been chosen to serve as GG before? Or is this just point scoring against albo because Sam Mostyn has indicated she cares about womens rights
You know governors and governor general appointments are always made by the government and are often political lol, this is not the first time, just accept it lol, it’s no big deal anyway.
It's very unfortunate that the world economy is such that China wields enough power to force Nations to pay lip service to "friendship and cooperation" while it commits atrocities upon its own citizens, undermines basic freedoms, and works relentlessly to destabilize the entire Pacific rim for its own gain. China is NOT a force for good in the world.
Antisemitism. I no longer respect Australia. Gaza was self-governing before it invaded Israel. I now consider Australia to be an enemy of the U.S.. Let China have Australia. I will work towards that goal.
Lies, lies and more lies! Why is the west so ready to believe these lies? One more thing, what Palestinian? These lefties make me sick. I’m an Iranian and I love Israel and don’t give a damn about Palestinians. Also it has nothing to do with Australia to decide what’s happening in a country thousands of miles away! ❤🇮🇱
Absolutely horrific how this woman can stand in the Australian chamber, wearing a kafia, and spouting these horrific lies against the nation of Israel is beyond outrageous. What a disgrace. 6:26
One things for sure is Hamas doesn't want a two state solution, neither do the other extremist groups who use religion as a weapon of "peace". These people either have no clue or are complicate in promoting terror politics, either way they should never hold positions of power.
