Noriko had to live because this movie’s main theme which is “Dying with honor is not the only way. Choosing to live is not a shame” So, if Shikishima chosen kamikaze instead of ejecting, you would not even know she was living
It really bugs me when people say Noriko should have stayed dead. Who cares what is "realistic"? This is fiction and without that ending I never would have watched it again or brought everyone I could to go see it in the theaters with me 4 times in all. If a story doesn't have a happy ending, why bother?
Valid argument, and am glad you voiced it out as well as supported the film that much. It's good to hear the other side of things, this is why we do what we do 😊
your channel is actually so underrated, you’re passionate about the subject and i agree with everything you said. also i love your collectible collection
not insulting you or making fun. I'm 62, retired military and have lived through several combat situations. Sometimes a young reactor's naive comments really bug me, even though I know they don't know any better. Okay, I'm done.
Noriko's survival is explained if you paid attention to her appearance in the hospital at the movie's end. Look at the moving tattoo on her neck. She has been infected or affected by something Godzilla related. Did you forget Godzilla's ability to rapidly heal? No doubt other survivors will have been also affected in multiple ways. Surely, you guys don't think she was the only person to live through the attacks. She was one of our main characters, so of course the film is going to focus on her.
Our apologies! We just watched back that scene and indeed you are right. We don't know how we could have missed that but thank you for bringing that to our attention!

@@clappercorns With due respect... In THOR's Love and Thunder, Russell Crowe was just a "Guest Role" or with "Special Participation" as Zeus with Thunderbolt with a few short scenes... FYI... when we say "Comeback Movie" it is automatically understood to be a LEADING ROLE... and not just a "Supporting role"... Facts and Truth of the Matter... logically speaking...
@@clappercorns The phrase, "Comeback Movie" means Actor in a LEADING ROLE such as from his previous movies like The Gladiator, The Master & Commander, etc...

Nice review! I was so excited for this movie, but unfortunately it did not work for me. I found the kills to be too malicious and mean spirited aside from fun. The humour didn’t resonate with me for most of the time. I really only enjoyed the scene at the gazebo and ambulance chase scene. The rest didn’t land with me.
Did any one who has seen the movie notice the lyrics in the toy jingle at the begininning? It says something like "the toy that lives longer than you do"
