Is it ok to use these firestarters at home in a wood stove? I'm worried that the wax could build up in the stove/chimney and potentially become a fire hazard for the house
for over an HOUR, I have FOUGHT this stupid wick, can NOT , can NOT, get it to come out the top......................tried forcing it with a small pocket screwdriver, cannot PUSH it out the top
Love it. If you don't mess with the closure straps a G.I. butt pack can be strapped to the lid. 550 cord to secure to frame. I've had 2 add a pouches from U.S.Cavalry for 27 years. Tried the ML2 pouches but find them a bit widefor my medium ruck.
Hi jason. I'm currently at a fast food restaurant trying to decide if I want to have the simulated chicken sandwich or not. LOL but seriously work is kicking my butt. We've had a ton of rain here I want to see how high the river is and also check out how far the fire has burnt I appreciate you checking up on me. Thanks karen. I hope things are going good on your end. I can tell you I'm getting a little burned out on working all the time.... I really need to take some time off. Definitely do not get rid of your truck. I'm currently looking at a 90s Ford Ranger 4x4 I want to buy.. almost the same year as the mountaineer. As a plus the heater works in it :-) thanks for stopping by.. have an awesome evening and I'll talk to you in the next one
First I got to apologize for how long it took me to reply to your comment. I didn't realize I had any until I logged in today. The book calls for 13 hours to remove the heater core.. I went down to the Boneyard for a little practice and after about 4 hours of removing the dash I was done. Lol so probably not going to fix it. Thanks so much for your comment have an awesome evening my friend and I'll talk to you in the next one.
What's happening my brother from another mother. Welcome back. I'm hoping to see a new video in the near future from you. As luck would have it once again all hell's broken loose over here. I'm hoping things will come down in a week or so and I can get back out again. I do believe my next video will be hiking out to see how far the fire has burned. I'm hoping. Talk to you later and have an awesome evening
Oh you absolutely have to go out there. Especially on a boat. I can only imagine interesting things you would find. If you do I'd love to see a video. No problem on the video. I'm hoping to get back out there soon to see how far the fire has actually burned. As always thank you so much for your comment and have an awesome evening
Hi Bob, glad to hear Mom's doing ok. Always bums me out seeing burnt down areas, especially if it's the ones your used to going to. Good to hear from you again. Take care.
Thanks jeff. I have to apologize for how long it took me to get back to you. All hell is broken loose again. It is sad to see the area burned out. on the plus side it made room for new growth. And hopefully for me to take a straight path to the winter camp. Sometime in the next two weeks I'm going to attempt to make it out there. That should be the next video. Talk to you later and have an awesome evening
Thanks Doug. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. All hell is broken loose again as usual... hopefully I can get out again this month. I'm really curious to see how far the fire is burnt. So that should be the next video. Talk to you later and have an awesome evening.
Hi Ken good to see you in the comment section again. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've been busy as heck. I noticed you been pretty active on youtube. I'm looking forward to in viewing and enjoying your videos. Oh yes I will be using my ninja skills this year.😉 hope to talk to you in the next one and have an excellent week
Nope. The book calls for 13 hours to take the dash apart. I lose interest in the project after 2. LOL no worries eventually summer will be here. As of right now it is 31 freaking degrees and sleeting out. Have an awesome day and I'll talk to you in the next one
Thanks jason. Yeah I think it's interesting some people are trying to figure out where I'm at. That's okay I enjoy playing cat and mouse. Oh yes there will absolutely be cooking with Bob videos. Fun fact that's the only time I can go off my diet. LOL talk to you in the next one. Have her most awesome day
Hold on to that 100% paid vehicle, Bob. I usually hold on to my cars until I can no longer afford to buy parts, or the parts are no longer being made, then ya gotta git a new/old car, right? Good to hear from ya.
Agreed. I like the older vehicles. I can't work on the new ones. You have to have a degree in electrical engineering just to diagnose the problem. Hopefully you'll be seeing more of me in the future. As I'm able to get out. The next video will be me figuring out how far the fire burned. Talk to you the next one and have a most awesome day.
I agree. Now it should be easier to take the straight path into the winter camp. I'll find out next week. It is a little too cold today to do it.. Talk to you later and have an awesome day
Thanks brother. There should be a trekking Tuesday video next week. Depending on the weather of course now it's 31° and sleeting. Talk to you the next one and have a most awesome day
great video but i bet it was cold out there, for sure you cover alot of ground in that area and are very familiar with the lay of the land, hopefully that burn off got rid of alot of ticks!!! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more hikes and setups..
Thanks jerry. Hey would you believe right now it's 31° out and sleeting. What the heck happened to spring. I agree with you on the ticks. I hate those things. Next Tuesday looks promising I want to go see how far the fire has burned. Talk to you later and have a most awesome day.
Thanks Craig. I was hoping to get out today but as now it is 31° and sleeting. I think I'll pass and reschedule for next Tuesday :-) I have the most awesome day and I'll talk to you later
Yep and it doesn't look like it's been there very long either. I'm glad whoever was smoking it didn't destroy the shelter though. Have a most awesome day and I'll talk to you in the next one
Yes they are mike. Thanks for noticing. I could tell you it was a long and painful process to get them done. I can say I'm fairly happy with the end results. Still getting used to them. Talk to you later and have a most awesome weekend
Hello there Mr Mountain goat. Yep I seen the video. Sorry I couldn't reply I was at work at the time. Thanks. She survived two hunting seasons and one mushroom season. If she survives this mushroom season. I'm going ahead and leaving it up to see how long it takes to naturally decay. Have a most awesome day. And stay safe out on the cliffs. I'll talk to you later
Thanks jeff. If she makes it through mushroom season I'm going to go ahead and leave her up and see how long it takes to naturally decay. I'm hoping by the end of the month I'll get back to making full length videos. Talk to you later and have an awesome day..
Bob … Hope all is great and good with you and your family!!! Gotta question: please refresh my memory. Have you ever spent the night in your current shelter? Just curious. Make it a great day!!! Until your next video & beyond, happy trails, best wishes, take care, be safe, & most of all, God bless!!! Chuck Knight formerly from Buffalo, Texas and now from Atascocita, Texas. ✝️🎣👨🌾🦌🙏
Hello Mr knight. Everything is going fairly well thanks for asking. That's an excellent question. I got to be careful with the answer. I have done some overnight fishing trips from this location. No I did not shoot any video for obvious reasons. Wink hopefully by the end of the month I'll get back to making some full length videos. Keyword is hopefully of course. Thanks for the wishes and the same to you and yours. Have an awesome day and I shall talk to you later
I too was happy to see it still standing. I figured somebody would find it near and deer season that destroy it. I'm hoping it makes it through mushroom season. If so I think I'm going to leave it up and see how long it takes to naturally to decay. Hopefully I'll get back to making full length videos by the end of the month. Talk to you later and have an awesome day
Hi Neil it's been quite a while now. It has survived two hunting seasons. Hopefully it will survive the mushroom season. If so I've decided to leave it up until it naturally decays. I'll talk to you later and have an awesome day
Thanks jason yes it has been a while. I'm slowly making it come back. I'm hoping to be doing full-length videos by the end of the month. Everything is going okay. Thanks for asking ...have a most awesome day and I shall talk to you later.
Thanks Tim I'm slowly making a comeback. I'm hoping to get into full length videos by the end of the month. I've got a couple projects I want to try out and I did find a good location to do them at. Have a most awesome day and I shall talk to you later..
Well hello darby. I've decided to leave the shelter up and let it naturally decay. I too am a little curious to see how long it'll last. Well unless somebody finds it and destroys it. We'll see come mushroom season. On a side note I'm enjoying the videos you and Sid are releasing. Sorry I haven't commented. Talk to you later and have an awesome day
Thanks Craig. I'm slowly making a comeback. Yep now let's see if the shelter can survive mushroom season. If so it'll be all good until winter. Have an awesome day

Hi Jason thanks for asking. Well in the middle of January I caught the flu bug. I finally beat it then all my vehicles decided to go on strike all at once. Now they're all running again. Guess what.. yep we got hit by a snow storm last week and currently getting hit by and I storm now. So basically I've had a string a bad luck . Although next week is looking promising. Cross your fingers I'm able to get out. I'd like to finally build a mini teepee I've been working on for a while. Talk to you later. And have a great evening.
A friend gifted me this knife many years ago. Honestly I don't know what it is. I'll send him a message and see if he remembers. I can tell you it is stainless steel and holds a great edge. Perfect for food preparation. When I find out something I'll let you know. Have an awesome weekend and thank you so much for your comment
Jeremy still backpacking and camping. He's doing it with the family now. And not filming. He does occasionally make guest appearances on my channel. We do have something planned for the spring but I'm not sure if he's going to video it. I might do a little bit. Just to respect his privacy. Have an awesome weekend and I shall talk to you later
