On here you will see videos based on the waste management industry (mainly from the former South Northamptonshire area in West Northamptonshire).
Uploads are a bit frantic but the schedule I try to keep to is:
1 upload every month if I'm in school (provided i have enough footage, if not the gap will be longer)
Uploads every day for when I'm off school.
I aim to upload my videos at 4pm, except on blue and green weeks when I'm off school, when blue will be up at 4 like usual, but green will be up at 4:30pm 👍
If they come out a bit late I'd like to apologise in advance as I'm normally quite busy!
Thank you for visiting! Hope you enjoy the content!
I don't understand why they do not have those steps on the truck like in the rest of Europe and the USA the poor workers have to run all the time from one Bin to another
I agree, it's because the government here is too arsey about health and safety even though literally every other country in the world uses them and clearly they work well. Hopefully one day they bring them here, they'd definitely be very well received!
heres a question so it goes in back of bin lorry then gets compacted to make room for more recycling how do u seperate it all when finished as its compact
When it gets tipped out, it gets pushed around by a digger so that usually loosens it, plus it goes through bag splitters at the MRF so that helps as well 👍
Surprised that your council is still using general size bins all our bins round here are tiny you can fit about 3-4 bags in that’s it I still have a massive bin tho keeping it going and making it last lol If it falls apart we’re screwed
We've been giving 180s out for general for nearly 10 years so must new ones will be them now. It works out alright as most people don't need a big bin, the ones who do can apply and usually get one if they meet the criteria. Better take good care of yours lol
Yeh unfortunately we do need a big bin we recycle everything and we have a green bin and all and still end up with lots of rubbish only thing we don’t have is a food caddy
Nice video! Strange how the crew have the lift on 1 all year round and then for the Christmas collection where the bins are the most full they have it on 0!……🤔😂
Cheers! They switched to 0 in summer, only because the shakes are absolutely pathetic on this truck. Although they would've definitely been better with turning them on this time round, loads of bins had cardboard and whatnot stuck in them
That's probably because their hoppers are a lot smaller and lower down than ours so its just easier, plus their lifts are a lot slower than ours and aren't automatic
Brilliant video and lovely truck! Realy lucky getting to see this one!! I'm not 100% sure but there's a chance this might be an ex South Lanarkshire truck, Lunaz bought a lot of our 15 and 65 plates to convert them into these and it does look as if there used to be a sticker on the top corner of the hopper, our trucks had SLC logos stuck up there. There is some things that make me want to think its not one of ours but it could be not sure. Keep the brilliant videos up!
