I have a Speedmaster Racing Cal. 9900, so this break down of the 9300 (which is basically the same) is very interesting for me to see! Do you enjoy working on the 9300/9900 movement? Thank you for uploading ☺️
Definitely 5100. The plastic alone is enough to confirm. That movement is identical to my 5100. And they suck! IMO Plastic pallet fork and escape is ridiculous
How similar is this to the Seiko 7002 caliber? Is it the same movement but with a different rotor? Also, what is the balance wheel made of? It clearly isn't brass. (I just purchased an Alba Y621-6000 Aqua Gear)
Please refer to the document below for the difference between 7002A and 621. Some have different part numbers. I don't know the difference between them. There is no information about the material of the balance. Thank you for watching the video. 7002A document myretrowatches.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/7002A.pdf Y621A document myretrowatches.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Seiko-Y621A-Technical-Guide.pdf
Hi I got that same movement need a new mainspring though mine snaped I'm still in the early stages of teaching my self servicing I did find 2 certina nos cases with dial found hands and they used 25-66 movements which I have 1 now, finding working on quality movements a lot easer than cheep crap
Not sure if you take requests, but if you happen to come across them I would love to see a video on the Lemania 5100/Omega 1045. Also the Seiko 4L or newer 6L movement would be great too! Love your videos the way they show the part in the movement and then after removal. It’s actually how I take my photos when tearing down a movement I’m not familiar with. Thank you!
Have this movement in my just purchased DS-2...it runs, but service history is unknown... What would be a reasonable expectation as to accuracy if it was running correctly given that its at least 47 years old?
