This is one of my favorites from the Schlanskyverse.

IMMEDIATE CHEMISTRY. Conan found a classic "straight-man" during the writer's strike fortuitously working as a producer in his own studio, and with various interests. You can see the genesis of so many later tropes in this very first bit. I'm sure they knew they had a future low-maintenance content gold-mine on their hands. Conan completely feeds off of him. It's pure straight-man comedy.
