It was a storm in a teacup. Council could not get their act together to have the volume turned up in the overflow room. Makes you wonder how they run their daily affairs if a volume button is too much for them to figure out. Their were armed enforcement officers galore, who didn’t hesitate to manhandle the public, who were rowdy, but peaceful and unarmed, unlike the governments standover men.
I'm kinda interested by the flight or fight mechanism. I don't think it applies to traditional cultures but I think that it is applicable to traumatised populations like those that gave rise to the west. When populations have lost their sense of belonging and connection to life. Maybe this is feeding the transhumanism AI movement, where people have a sense of the vacuum of space for evolution and growth which is the lacking of belonging and connection?
It's always inspiring and healing listening to Victor Steffensen. Fire Country is a very beautiful and transformative book, and it was a real privilege to be at Tuthangga on Kaurna Yerta with everyone last year for the burn.
