I feel like the writing in the scene is very lacking. Yes Mary is a little goofy… But she’s pretty clever and I feel like they wrote her a little too stupid here. I think they could’ve really given her some common sense logical zingers… Also, I really hate Leonard’s mother.
One of the best films I've ever seen. Everyone did a phenomenal job in this movie. You couldn't ask for a better cast. So many Oscar-worthy performances in this movie.

Sad to say but hilly is what most women have become nowadays… self entitled, selfish, uncaring, money obsessed, possession obsessed. Willingly scamming, lying, cheating, tricking and trapping guys into paying for children that isn’t theirs. We can look back on those times, the shameful ways that Celia and Minnie were treated by other women of all things…. Yet, here in 2024, how those wicked women behaved back then is seen on a daily basis today, quite often far worse today than it was back then.
