Well done! I really liked what you did, however, the reveal didn't show the entire anything - that's what I want to see! BC of your time limits, you could add/explain whatever didn't complete, which is understandable to anyone who does 'complete makeovers in a week!' Kudos to you!!
hey! I actually finished it all shockingly other than one piece of art, the videos at end were rushed, everyone was waiting in the drive way to come in hahaha. So I had to shove some stuff in some corners for the videos then put it all away after
This is my first time to watch one of your videos. The results are good, but you need to show more of the actual work in progress with a lot less talking about it.
I have that picture in the bedroom, it’s of a swimming pool in SF, if I’m correct, by all accounts it burned down. I actually bought it at Fisherman’s Wharf in SF whilst on holiday in 95. I still have it to this day and still love it.
The bedroom could use a platform bed with storage. The tiny room needs height. I agree about the black handles. I just put in new black handles because I have a lot of black in the kitchen and it looks great, but I specifically avoided handles that would hook clothes. In the UK, handles versus knobs are on most doors and they seem designed to catch trouser and cardigan pockets.
I have never watched a RU-vid video where I have so strongly and immediately sensed what kind of person the creator is. You really seem like such a kind, creative, gentle soul. The beauty of your heart is reflected in your home. Dream big indeed xx
Great job! I also thought, like alara, that the after shots were too close and we couldn’t take a full view of the rooms. It was indeed a beautiful transformation with the magic of paint and done details. Congrats 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Such a lovely makeover for your sister. Love the caring relationship that you have with your family. I am sure that your sister was blown away when she saw the final reveal.. Great Job.
New subbie… omg never talk down your artwork, it looks absolutely fabulous! I love your inventiveness, working around a budget (especially using lots of your boyfriends prints, which look wonderful) it adds so much soul to a home, don’t you think? I’ve been a working designer for 25 years and I’ve only just recently been brave enough to hang my own abstract oils up in my flat but I’m so glad I did so please please continue to paint and display your own work it’s really helped me “connect” with my home. ❤
Idk what I love more all your ideas and hard work making your sisters home beautiful OR your love and relationships with your sisters . You remind me of my son your beautiful inside and out. Congratulations for your upcoming addition to your family.
Beautiful apartment. I love your dinning room table. Im a thrifter from way back. Its about the hunt. I once road my bike home with a bookshelf on the back of it.
Beautiful job and colors. When my sis was older and couldn't clean her house Id pick up the slack. She loved nothing more. She's no longer with me. Even though it was hard work I miss those days.
This was the best makeover bc you showed how it really is…you apologized for being all over the place but it felt more authentic. And the end result (given the constraints) was fantastic!
I so agree, I see many lovely homes and clever designs and then wonder how do they really live in it? Pets, kids, grandkids and get togethers, that's what's important. Stuff is stuff, but the memories you make in your space that's priceless. ❤
