Going to take a Sunday break from Royal Road to Card Magic and try to learn this trick. I guess I'm going to have find some fabric and sew my own compartment in the coin purse I have. Can't wait! You would be a great choice to write a Royal Road to Coin Magic book.
Thanks, it is one of my favorite routines, and Roth loved this variation of his routine! Meir Yedid of mymagic.com will eventually sell them as he now has the rights. In the meantime, you can have a tailor make one for you.
@@rubinsteincoinmagic Well, I took my coin purse and cut a slit in the bottom of the inner lining. Stuck two .50 pieces in and sewed it up. Bad sewing job but it's good enough to hold. Your right, shaking an empty coin purse that sounds like there are coins in it is amazing.
Is your rattle purse still in production and will it be available online or will I have to make my own? Your book is awesome. That routine is big but after a week of practice it’s starting to sink in my head.
Thank you. This is a great routine, and really doesn't need a rattle purse as the load at the end is very deceptive. Unfortunately, Meir Yedid at mymagic.com has the rights to manufacture and sell the rattle purse, and so far hasn't had it remanufactured. But shoot him an email to get on a list, and he will keep you in the loop! Btw, sometimes they come up for sale on ebay and the secondary market, you might want to inquire on some of the coin magic sites.
Thanks. Glad you are enjoying the book! The last move here uses the R.O.P.S Double click pass instead of the Bronx Take, which might be easier for some and is very visual.
@rubinsteincoinmagic I've got the book... it's a real treasure filled with excellent descriptions of sleights and routines. But: I haven't completely read it yet🤦♂️ I think you've uploaded a version of the updated version before. I liked the routine then as well.
Thanks for the kind comments about my book. Yes, the other handling is somewhere on my RU-vid channel, Rubinstein Coin Magic. I posted this because I really liked the performance, and frankly, I probably should have put this handling into the book as well, but I wanted to eliminate going to my pocket. It is found in the Coins and Poker Chips chapter. Thanks for commenting!
@@rubinsteincoinmagicMay you have a look on ru-vid.com9AtTCDhDkGc ? Would be an honor to have your feedback (working hard on my coin magic for one year now, still many progress to do)
Thank you so much! I actually sold a smaller version for close up performances. It ended with the appearance of the copper and silver coin under the hand, instead of the big coin. A different ending, but also with a nice display to finish.
Dear Dr. Rubenstein, thank you for writing your wonderful book. This must have been a lot of work to describe everything so clearly and in detail. I have a lot of fun studying everything. The video is also useful to have. Thanks again and much respect for your work. Abel
It does not. However, a lot of the routines are taught in my Penguin Live download one and two from Penguinmagic.com Or my At the table download probably at the same place. You can also get the dvds from the New York Coin Magic Seminar from Meir Yedid at mymagic.com, or as downloads from vanishingincmagic.com
Hi. It is taught on the download The R.O.P.S Revolution, found at www.mymagic.com/l/money-magic/rops-revolution-video You can also find it in the book, Rubinstein Coin Magic.
Thanks Dan! I have been teaching that one for over 20 years, and it is a solid routine using an interesting principle. I am sure that once you read it, you will learn it!
Hello Michael! Greetings from Peru! I’m reading your book’s explanations first and then “discover” the video performances! So rewarding! I would like to show you my personal additions. 🙌🏽

A great act, and even better tribute to your mentor. I especially appreciate that you weren’t trying to fool P&T, but just honoring your mentor, and that touches my heart!
Hi Tyrone, thanks for watching. Marc DeSouza is a good friend, and is one of the nicest and most honest guys in magic. He would never plug a product that he didn't believe in. But you don't have to listen to Marc, there are hundreds of rave reviews by people who bought the book and people who are knowlegable in the field (Craig Petty, Mike Close, etc). Just look on the Magic Cafe, or on the Vanishingincmagic, and Penguin sites. In fact, of the hundreds of reviews posted, I have yet to see ANY that weren't highly complimentary, and most have called it one of the most important books on coin magic that you should have in your library. In fact, here is one posted several months ago on Mike Gallo's comment about the book by...You: @tyronejoihnson7046: "Well, time to eat crow ( the entire flock ). I picked up Rubinstein Coin Magic. I thought with Bobo and Roth, there's nothing new. NOW, was l wrong. BIG apologies to Michael Gallo and Michael Rubinstein." And we don't know each other, correct? So, just curious, what was the point of this post?
