At Riccar, we are driven by one passion - to make world-class vacuums. Other companies fret over selling the most vacuums. Riccar puts the emphasis on selling the most incredible vacuums. First and foremost, we start with performance. We’re obsessed with suction and with air flow numbers. We agonize over tiny tweaks to the motors, the fans and the seals seeking the most robust performance possible from each component we design. It’s no wonder that a company completely obsessed with cleaning performance reinvented the way a vacuum cleans.
Glad to hear it! this vacuum is available for sale at Riccar.com, and it's in some retail stores already at potentially lower pricing or bundled with a pet tool. Find a retailer on Riccar.com/where-to-buy.
Will pass your comments along to our development team. The goal of this vacuum was to keep cleaning simple and straightforward with no complicated mechanisms or circuitry that could be expensive to repair. We appreciate your input!
Why even put headlights on, I have a small flashlight that’s much brighter! It would have been nice to have headlights like the S7/U1. The “Plus” doesn’t have a lifetime belt.
Thanks for your comments! We'll have to do a video to show the headlights in action. LED lights are brighter and last longer. They sure help when you don't want to suck up something unintentionally. Will pass along your comments to the engineering team!
My biggest gripe with my Sebo X7 is that there's no brushroll shutoff, and on my carpet, the automatic height isn't high enough and the brushroll ends up spinning on the carpet and flashing the red warning light. Their solution in the owner's manual is to tip the machine over. It's not very elegant for a machine at that price point.
Old school Tacony clean air uprights are in my opinion the best clean air uprights ever made. My personal favorite is the Simplicity 7 Series machines. I'm so glad they're bringing these back. Make a Premium Sprit model with headlight, clutch, and dual stage motor, and I'd absolutely buy one.
I own a Riccar "SupraLite" and I would be hard-pressed to loathe it more!!! I paid an insane amount of money for it six years ago and I rue every cent! There's not one time that I haul this thing out that I don't use seriously foul language at it. I am 77 years old, I take very, very good care of my vacuum cleaners, and this "beast" is only my 4th. The $25.00 Electrolux canister that I got in a garage sale in 1974 was better than this. There is almost zero side suction--I have to go at all the baseboards head-in, and the cord is a complete and miserable nightmare--it's worse that a $2 suitcase in the way that it folds up on itself. I spend more time disentangling the cord that just tangles up in itself and tangles up all around my ankles than I do vacuuming my entire house. I have been yearning to leave a review for six years, and I'm finally doing it. HATE THIS VACUUM!!!!!
I traded in my Miele canister vacuum for the Riccar Pet upright vacuum. There was nothing wrong with the Miele, I just got tired of having to pull it around after me. Love uprights. I brought a sample of the cat litter I use at home and the Riccar was the best at picking up the litter. I have mostly wood floors and it works wonderfully on the hardwood and also on the area rugs. I love the amber light that indicates the deep ground dirt in a carpet, once that spot has been cleaned the light turns white again - wonderful.
Great video bagged vacuum cleaners are more healthy than bagles vacuum cleaners everything proven bagles vacuum cleaners causes problems on people's health now days everything proven people don't look at what bagles vacuum cleaners are doing to people's health now days
The SoftSweep attachment also fits to the wands of this kit! I have found numerous 1.25 attachments to fit this kit! This kit truly makes this similar to my Kirby, but not as many parts to mess with!
I definitely like this simple design, and it’s simple to find clogs in the air path! I have an Upright from a German competitor that starts with an M, and its air path is overly complicated! This Riccar design was certainly made to last, and that’s why these were also great for commercial cleaning.
I bought one myself and these are selling out quickly! This is what customers want, and not the junky R25 series! This is what a Riccar is supposed to be! It was a good idea to remove the clutch, but why no headlight? I would certainly pay $700 for a spirit with a headlight and lifetime belt, over the R25!
I think the Spirit is just out for a test through the dealers to see if there'd be a demand to add more models or not. I think there'd be another model coming out eventually considering the Powr-Flite has two models, one of them with a clutch and two speed switch. But we did had a model a while ago called the Vibrance Premium Plus with a lifetime belt and headlight until it got discontinued.
I had this kit, and the hose is awful. It doesn’t swivel leading to tangles. It’s a narrow diameter, wire-reinforced construction cuts off the R25’s wonderful airflow, making it useless. At $193, It has no business being sold as an accessory to a premium machine. Get the TCA-15 kit instead for $137.
I have an R25D....not sure that I'd call it a 'premium' machine. It's mediocre at best. And this tool kit can't be any worse than the non-standard sized crap that was included with the machine.
That kit should have come with the R25 vacuum. The stretch hose is useless when cleaning upholstery & the brush/upholstery tool that came with the machine is absolutely awful.
I've test drove one at home and I'm thinking about getting the R25P. The hose was perfectly fine imo. What was wrong with it? I will agree on the brush. Could be much better.
@@ZaneWulf the issue is that the stretch hose shrinks to is shortest length the moment that you put the attachment of a piece of furniture, it either pulls the hose from your hand or pulls the machine to you.... So leaving no reach. It's only good if you want to vacuum cob webs from high corners where there is no restriction to suction.
@@ZaneWulf that kinda defeats the purpose of having good suction. My Kirby that this machine replaced had a properly designed non-stretch house, so there never was a problem.
Cordless vacuum cleaners don't last longer and I don't care what people say that cordless vacuum cleaners are more great not true at all it doesn't last longer then your cord vacuum cleaners does everything proven in time like everything else is now days
In general, cordless vacuums are less powerful than corded, but they do meet certain needs for convenience, safety and sound levels. We try to keep a wide range of options so there's a vacuum for everyone!
Bagged vacuum cleaners are more healthy and more self on people's health now days everything proven bagles vacuum cleaners causes problem's on people's health now days
The contracts with the companies they had with like Fuller Brush for example that offered cheaper models already expired. So rather than renewing the contracts, they decided to downgrade the Simplicity brand so they can still offer the cheaper models.
To clarify - we definitely are not knocking the Simplicity, as it is Riccar's "sister" brand. The two models closest to the Riccar Spirit are the Riccar Vibrance and Simplicity Symmetry, and both product lines were very popular and still exist in many homes today. In fact their popularity and the fact that they're assembled in St. James, Missouri are the reasons we introduced the Riccar Spirit.
You can't technically with using this just by itself. But what you could do is to order an extension accessory kit to plug onto this machine and use it like a mini central vac. Otherwise rewatch the video at 4:05.
It doesn't have a twin fan motor or a seal on the bottom plate. And it's not really made in the US, only the plastic parts are but everything else is made in China.
Ah, the Vibrance/8000 combo. Thank you, Tacony. It is nice to see this made in the US again! Hopefully soon we'll see a clutch version soon that will be better for solid floors.
Thanks for bringing these classics back! Although I do think you should add more models like the old Vibrance Entry into the line because I would say this one is still pretty pricey for alot of consumers.
@@parfumextraitfan7453 The built quailty and other factors are just a big joke. The Vibrance ( Spirit ) is more basic and prooven to be a much better vacuum . just talk to anyone who's been a vacuum tech or riccar dealler for many years .
Both are actually good options. The R25 has many improvements over the Spirit but the Spirit is considered as a classic like being more simpler. Find your local Riccar dealer and test out both to see which one fits you the best.
@@panasonicvac4036 you do some what poove a point . But those improvements were not needed, as the Vibrance ( Spirit ) is a Simple vacuum with a quality build over the R25 series .
@macawAviculture, the Tandem Air Premium Pet R40P has these differences: a filter change indicator light, a larger nozzle and cleaning path, a larger fan, the Fur Get It pet tool and three visits under the Red Carpet Service Plan. The R40P model also has a larger pleated HEPA media filter. Thanks for asking!
Best vacuum ever made. It has none of the things I HATE about uprights (cord, tools, wand, height adjustment.) It just DOES THE JOB. I've had mind about a year, and the bag capacity is so big, I have yet to change it.
I wish the R20 or the Vibrance models are still being made especially the 8000 series, I personally liked those more than the R25 line in my opinion. But the R25 are still nice machines.
As a Riccar customer, the vacuums have great designs, features and benefits for any budget. The item I suggest is to please increase the quality of the individual parts used as I have had extensive failures of items that are not normal wear & tear, rather parts that failed due to low quality.
Yeah the reliability has been going downhill, that's one of the reasons why I have a harder time recommending Riccar nowadays and this is coming from someone who used to work at a Riccar dealer. Still great vacuums but there are better options like SEBO.
