I've always thought Metroboard copied Meepo Board, but it was the other way around. This was going to be my first All Terrain Board until I built a Metroboard DIY that out perform the Meepo Hurricane. My stats are like 0 to 30 mph in 3 seconds and 50 mph top speed with 8 inch / 200 mm Pneumatic Tires. I need to head to your place and test the " GUT " Im confident that i will beat the number one Meepo AWD Pro par time

Anything over 20 mph is crazy fast. If you're gonna ride over 20mph consistently I'd recommend full protective gear, helmet, Elbow and knee and a full abrasion resistant jacket and pants. Coming off at 26 mph won't be fun. I typically ride at between 10 and 20 mph, and I can safely bail off at anything under 15 mph and I don't wear any protective gear. I actually practiced jumping off just to see how fast I could do it. After 15 mph I think I would fall but it would be a managable fall. Over 20 mph you're gonna bounce and tumble. Not good.
Battery is dead after less than 1500km put on it, Meepo with their lame ass 3 months parts warranty does not care (completely illegal in Europe by the way), trucks are weak, have broken many times (both kingpin and hanger) and ESC is dangerous, shutting down everything even brakes when battery is low : this board is definitely a joke, do not trust any of these sponsored reviews and buy any Meepo's product at your onw risk now that you've been warned 🤷♂
@@grinpiece3432 This is why you should have done research and wait before buying new product when no reviews exist. All these RU-vidrs get paid to promote the products. They have partnerships and stuff. They aren’t going to show you the flaws.
Thanks for rubbing salt in the wound, but yeah, you're completely right about it (most RU-vidrs call their disguised advertisements "reviews" though which does not help). For exemple if I still had confidence in these "reviews", I'd go with an Acedeck Nomad right now, but this time I'll be patient and wait for real feedbacks from the community.
June 9th 2023 I bought a V5… It worked for 2 months and then the accelerating motor to the wheels became disengaged the brake works but the accelerator does not move the board forward I asked to send this in for repair warranty or not I needed to have somebody else fix it I don’t work on boards and they told me they don’t have a repair situation so keep in mind if you spend $500 on a board and it stops working in 2 months you are just out of luck Also I have asked this company on a second board I bought before this V5 went out and It is advertised as having a 20 mile radius per battery charge however I got the board charged it up and it only got 8 Miles on the battery charge I have asked them 5 times starting the day I got the board for an address to return this board for my money back because it’s not as advertised I’ve also asked for an address to have the V5 worked on I’ve asked 5 times over the last 4 days with no response Other than we don’t have a service department they have not given me any address to return the board that I have from them that is brand new and they can’t help me fix their own product keep in mind I have spent $1200 In the last 8 weeks and I am out all that money with nothing that works correctly I have bought 4 Meepo boards before starting in 2017 and I was very happy with them however this company has just fallen off the cliff as far as customer service and even delivering an operational product….
Not sure what this video recommends, but DO NOT BUY MEEPO. I have been a customer for 5 years, there ESC randomly stops working, causing extremely dangerous situations when you suddenly cant break! They used to be good with customer service, but after telling them about this issue they completely left me out to dry. The company has gotten too big it would seem, the days of dealing with a passionate skateboarder are gone. Completely profit driven with no support, and faulty dangerous boards. I have always recommended Meepo, but I will never buy from them again! Removing their sticker from my helmet as we speak, the only thing with their name on it that actually works.
What happened to your channel? You are about the only person who covered all new boards brought out, thoroughly reviewed them and compared them… what happened? None of your videos are even there anymore.
Caveat emptor: think twice about the Hurricane - and Meepo. I won't go into a long description of my personal experience, I'll just distill it down to this - product quality is unreliable, after-sale support is excruciatingly bad and they don't stand behind their products the way a customer has a right to expect when paying this kind of money. This is not unique to Meepo, unfortunately (Ownboard is just as bad if not worse - I can't speak to others as I have no personal experience but I'm 0-2 w/ Chinese manufacturers). Dealing with after-sale support from these companies is like playing chess by mail...with someone who doesn't know how to play chess - slow, frustrating, and often fruitless. They either don't understand what you're telling them, or pretend they don't. They nickel and dime you to death and NEVER concede a point no matter how obvious or reasonable. You ask specific questions, you get boilerplate answers if any at all. My humble opinion - if this industry wants to make it to prime time they need to get a handle on after-sale support and service. These are mechanical devices and trust me - they can be finicky. It's a lot to take on faith when you're plunking down this kind of dough. But when they work...boy are they fun! Good luck!
What happened to John Paul? Why did he delete all of his old videos? He had such a great library of board comparisons on his channel. Sad to see he is not still making content.
I’m confused too. I don’t get it. He was the only RU-vidr that did a thorough comparison of all boards, taking them up the same test track so you can see exactly what each board is capable of. I don’t understand why he deleted everything then never made a video again. It’s a big shame.
Not trying trying condescending but dual king pins are for more buttery smoth turns it's supposed to simulate the feeling of a snowboard or surfboard. On typical push longboards if you want to bomb hills at high speeds you definitely want to switch to a single kingpin truck or tighten the crap out of the duals otherwise you get bad speed wobbles at like 30+ mph

Like all board sports they're the same...but different. So if you can ski and/or snowboard sure you have the base idea on how to ride a skateboard but it's still a bit different in weight distribution and feel so you still have to learn how to do it but you'll pick it up very quickly.
How long did your original pneumatics last you? I am planning on getting both but keep reading about how they blow or fail consistently. If they did blow, how did you end up addressing the issue?
