#ThermalHunting What ammo does your gun prefer? Mine is 30grain V-max, fussy bugger not keen on anything else but can (when I'm on a good day) group 1" at 150m.
I'm looking to buy a rifle for predator hunting. A 22 magnum is one of my top two choices along with the.223 Remington. How is the 22 magnum for bobcat and close-range coyote?
Nice shot. would have struggled to be that confident of a hit with my 22 hornet so I need to give its ability more credit. HAVE'T BEEN GETTING YOUR CLIPS SO RE HIT THE BELL BUTTON SO HOPE THAT WORKS. BLOOY RU-vid ARRANGING MY VIEWING,
I note that about 40 seconds in you see some huge variations in the distance displayed by the LRF - 196 - 230 - 0 - 500. Have you discussed this with a PARD rep ? Obviously if you were to activate the BC you would get a completely different holdover with each one. I have a SA32-35 LRF and this issue with the LRF is a show stopper. When the LRF actually displays a distance the BC works but mine is simply not consistently displaying a distance.
The BC uses the distance determined by the LRF and the ballistic data you input to calculate the holdover (or holdunder) - which is displayed as a second mark above (or below) the horizontal cross hair.
What the weather was like? I see that the contrast of the background is not too great. Was it foggy? IN the previouse video the contrast was much better.
We had some very wet days and nights. So nothing gets to absorb any heat during the day to transmit at night. Didn't notice it being any issue on this night 'in the field'. There was still plenty of background detail looking through the scope.
What a great bit of kit. Another entertaining and enlightening clip. The magnum did a sterling job with that well placed shot. That combo unit would enhance most rifles lo or higher caliber Thanks for taking us along as always
How would you say the image is compared to the already very good Pard SA45? It certainly looks to be very sharp, even on the video. Thanks for posting this.
Nice work as usual. Too bloody cold here this time of year to see me out but have done some load development with the hornet and a bit of sighting in and a new rail so little more to do to have it where I want them might do a little late arc calling
