hey did you do any real lighting things or just put a smaller engine in it

Nope, just a DA 120, 2 x servos per wing and one in each elevator

Love the transmitter overlay! way easier to follow than the corner box that most people do now. Learning 3d on an eflite eratix, can't wait to move up to bigger 3d planes.

I know this is over a decade old, but would you happen to know any maneuvers to practice doing to help with timing (for basic pilots)

Great video! And love the Stockcar overlay like this. Perfect. One question. When you flew out with rolling harrier. Both yaw and elevator stick seem to move at the same time. I thought one stick was more delayed to the other..?
@jyoung11
@jyoung11 2 года назад
They are slightly delayed but you’ll just have to play around with it a bit to find the right rhythm. The stick movements are earlier than you think

Whats the maneuver you did where you spun the tail on the axis of the wing. Like a knife edge spin.

Excellent video. I am concentrating on your stick movements. Are you in the mode where your throttle is the right stick? maybe I'm wrong.

Did anyone miss this guy really performing a KES? The spins were ugly and he didn’t really hold it for long.

How come you haven't posted videos in 7 years? I'm new to the Hobby and I learned a lot from you or 3D tutorials. Seems like all the good Pilots are disappearing. I'll come disappear and explain why? I would like to know what happened to the pilot that I've learned all these Maneuvers from and then all the sudden I get to the last lesson and I realized it's 7 years old? I hope nothing horrible has happened and you're happy with whatever you're achieving in life. Hope you respond God bless Rob

Whilst rolling (counter clockwise) are yiu supposed to give it elevator when the canopy is facing you and again when you see the bottom of the plane? Or is it just once every roll?

ok. no one is talking about the elepant in the room. This is highly skilled. This is a skills game. however, skill is not fun. They are not the same thing. When you stripp down things to its bare essence . . . this is just a buzzing thing going buzz buzz. That is not fun. I am sorry to break to it you. You may have skills but you do not have a fun hobby, as it is a buzz buzz and flip and fliz. There is a very big difference between skill and fun. NO one is doubting you have skills. but there is no fun here. You want fun? try something that is engaging. thx.

It is somewhat a 'participatory' sport in that only those who fly r/c want to learn more. You want to want to sit on the couch and watch a bunch of big dummies play kill-the-man-with-the-ball, grab each other, stick their hands between the guy's legs, etc... go ahead if that's fun for you.

@@kyleroesler7057 fair enough. I used to fly rc glow fuel air plane and heli. I got rid of all of it ten years ago. Recently, I had the itch to start again. However, I have come to know myself. I get into a hobby and then the novelty will wear off. I have gone through scuba diving, RC, paint ball, poker, horse back riding, air soft, guns, biking. The novelty wears off. And if I restart a hobby such as RC or archery, as a repeat (Ie revisit an old hobby), the novelty will wear off very fast. So, instead, I watch a ton of vids to get the urge out of my system. It is called saturation therapy. If I over staturate myself with vids, I get over it. cheers.

Hey man thanks for the tutorials. I didn't know many of these moves existed (pop top??) let alone the stick movements but with these vids and how you edit them, eg the faded transmitter overlay and slow mo, I can while holding my tx replay one of these a few times then hit the field and at first climb bit higher than you for my first few tries, going lower each time as I get the hang of the stunt, less reliant on the simulator (which I cannot get working on Linux). I know making these takes a long time but you are doing a public service. -Doug

I too am confused by your maneuver. It's cool how for you it's all about the entry. You do like the first quarter of a roller right on the stall then just floor it and hold the down elevator and aileron in. The rest of us attempt to hold the tail out with left rudder in a situation like this. But all you do is pop the tail out once with right rudder and half roll from there and just know that once it's spinning the centripetal force will hold it out for you. Too cool. I've learnt to do knife edge spins pretty good, but I could never get a plane to crankshaft like that. Will be trying this next time I'm out. Way past cool. :)

Wow. This is a lot different than how I do them. This is really confusing. For me, I always do a half-roll to the left, then slam the LEFT rudder and down elevator & once it's in the spin I can mostly let off the aileron, only giving minor inputs for correction. I see here you are pretty much holding left aileron through the whole rotation while using RIGHT rudder.... this is really really confusing. It's like you are doing a Sullivan snap, but it looks like a Lomcevak. I am perplexed. I'll have to try this next time I'm out.

Thanks for the "how-to" videos. I could easily perform the knife edge spin on realflight but couldn't get my Aeroworks 50cc Extra 300 to do it, then I found your video. Your tip about using too much rudder was the key. Now I can nail solid KE spins every time. With this skill I'm also able to the crankshaft. I love it. As you said, they are real crowd pleasers!

How do I make the plane turn whilst rolling? Do I use the rudder or the elevator and when do I use this? I go left to right clockwise.
