It's funny but i think Gi joe was the worst out of all the cartoons and Transformers had some dire episodes the writing/dialogue in these cartoons was brilliant but still corny!
Everyone's a dim witt in this cartoon they don't even use the corny glasses make you look different trick just a hairdo and different clothes Jem and Jerrica look exactly the same but the cartoon does bring back some dope memories it was kind of well written!
I remember when Synergy was smashed up as a kid but never saw what happened afterwards. That is one hanging plot thread now finally tied up. I can say this, the kid me would have been relieved that all is well, but now the adult me is kinda disappointed they didn't run with Synergy's destruction. Granted, this show wasn't made for adult me, who is rather nostalgic for old joys and entertainment that was made just to entertain (and sell toys, but that was the norm back then 😀).
This episode should have come out AFTER “Day the Music Died” because it’s supposed to be establishing that Jerrica and Rio are Soul Mates. Not to be negative but Unless Riot is secretly Rio, “Day the Music Died” just ruins the point of this episode.
Ok Rio and Riot look almost exactly alike only Riot has green eyes, extra lines around his mouth and a party city wig 😳 I still think they’re the same person 😹
So basically you would imply the little girl wouldn't suffocate and don't say it's just a cartoon.....seriously they literally got away with showing this in the 80s!

15:14 “It’s as though there were a light shining inside of him that he can turn on and off at will” Yeah that’s called being a manipulative narcissist 😒 I wish the Jem/Rio/Riot triangle ended with this episode. Riot was toxic and dangerous. He didn’t even care about the other Stingers.
If Jem and the holograms had a remake like with he man and she ra on Netflix I totally see a lot of the songs came back too like " Love's not easy " 2:09. He man got at least 2 remakes and a movie I think, and there is the new version of She Ra

It's strange that Pizzazz found actresses to resemble every one who is Friends or related to Jerica/Jem I'm wondering how they got the phony kids to resemble the ones from Starlight mansion
The sad thing is if that horrible Jem movie hadn't ended up being a disaster maybe this amazing show could have had a chance at a reboot for a new generation.
Does anyone else dislike the fact that this episode came out AFTER Midsummer Nights Madness? The entire point of that episode was to emphasize that Jerrica and Rio are meant to be and that he will always love her/he loves her soul and especially with the way they were loving on each other at the end of the episode and that Riot never actually loved Jem he just acts obsessed with her and he seems to have a bizarre contempt for Jerrica although he was “nice” to her when they first met in “The Stingers Hit Town” I noticed he doesn’t start acting hostile towards her and the other Holograms until after he meets her as Jem. Everything is about status and manipulation with him and Yet right after Midsummer Nights Madness they turn around and act the events of that episode never happened 😒 I don’t get it and to be honest, I still think the only way any of this would make sense would be if Riot were secretly Rio all along, otherwise it’s pretty messed up and no offense to Jerrica/Jem but her continuously running off with Riot makes it look like she has poor judgment and doesn’t care about her loved ones (which I know isn’t true but that’s how the show makes it appear at times) even though he’s hostile to her friends and family and doesn’t respect her boundaries and he’s even hostile to children.

I really think the love triangle between Jem, Rio and Riot should have ended at the end of “Stingers hit town pt. 2” the way they had her go back and forth on him even though he continued to be a toxic and dangerous person didn’t send a good message at all
I realize it's for storytelling purposes but fr why did they not ground and postpone that flight? You wouldn't fly a plane in an obvious storm like that
Riot was disgusting. I’m glad Jerrica/Jem at least temporarily saw that but then they went and made her have a “thing” with him anyway 🙄 if would be different if they kept the Stingers in the show but had her not be into him anymore after this episode. It’s just sad. I still have a headcanon that Rio and Riot were the same person though 😹 (I’m a Miraculous Ladybug fan as well as a Jem fan so I can’t help it lol)
Riot was creepy AF 😳 I adore this show but the vibe of Season 3 was gross. Someone on the Jem newsletter some years back said the Stingers (particularly Riot) ruined this show. It’s sad that Jerrica/Jem had poor judgment around him. She was better than that but when she temporarily ran off with him in “Day the Music Died” they endangered the Starlight Girls. Seasons 1 & 2 were wonderful though.

I really disliked how callous Jerrica was in this episode. That said, sometimes the oldest sibling takes on the role of parent when both parents are gone; they have to take care of things and be a little hard. Also, her blindness to Kimber's sadness makes her a more interesting character than if she was perfect all the time.
If that woman could see through Jerica's disguise why is she back in Jem form after she got the map if she was false she should of remained as Jerica until Shangri-La was found then she could of switch back to Jem
Exactly. They made great music but they were awful people. Particularly Riot. He was scum. Even Pizzazz could have done much better than him. As petty as it might sound, in the “change of heart” episode when both she and Jem pushed Riot down in the hot sand and every time he got slapped across his face was quite satisfying to watch 😳 I’m not trying to overreact but I don’t understand why he had to be part of this show 😒
