I am blessed with family and friends and a good job. I've always been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days and have been going ever since. I also like to read, mostly sci-fi or mystery and that also translates into what I watch on TV however I will break away and watch a good comedy like Seinfeld. One of the best shows ever. I like to dabble in pretty much anything game wise except sports and racing games
I noticed sometimes that when you hovered it over the emblem to move some objects it wouldn't work unless I played with it a little & just moved it around the area somewhat. If it's not glowing green like in my video, it may be a bug. I had a few times where I had to restart my game a couple of times for bug related issues for the prism puzzles.
In a previous video, a player was having a problem with another refract puzzle activating so he went through more of the main campaign and checked back and it worked for him so maybe try that.
Yeah,. I've got a cousin & friend that would've enjoyed this game if the easy mode would've been more forgiving. You got to think, there are people that would like this but not have the skill to play it too well. I played it on the hardest mode on the 1st run because I thought I'd get tired of it after 1 play but didn't & played it 2 to 3 more times after and got more comfortable with using skills I didn't use much in the beginning like timeburst.
A star walks into a black hole but doesn't seen phased. The black hole then turns to the star and says, "I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."
If so, that is a shatterfane. Those were released post-launch of the game. Once you reach a certain point in the campaign, they will unlock. They are very tough however especially if you're playing on immortal mode. I would save those for last and finish everything else in the game first. There are three or four more of them to find as well.
I understand, I didn't like the prism puzzles at first but it got to the point to where I enjoyed them towards the end. It slowly became one of my favorite parts of the game.
Glad it was helpful. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this game. Before it got on PS plus, I hadn't heard much about it, before I knew what was going on I'd played through it 3-4 times. LOL
thanks man really helped alot... im playing through sly 1 trying to get the last trophies for the plat so i appricate the videos.. i played all the sly games so much as a kid on the ps2 and now being 27 i get to replay them (hopefully sly 2 and 3 soon) on the ps4/ps5
They only get better from here. LOL. Seriously though, you do get more comfortable with them but at first they blow your mind a little bit or they did mine.
Yes, it comes with all the DLC that came with the games after launch. I looked this game up just now and it looks like it is still on sale for that price even though this broadcast was from a while ago and like before PlayStation Plus doesn't seem to be required
What is it you're having a problem with exactly? When you first explore the area you won't be able to do the prism puzzles until you get the refract augment later in the campaign, disrupt will not be enough.
Yeah, I'd include a grapple point if I thought it wasn't easily visible or I'd show skipping one & lashing on to the next one if two grapple points were close enough together.
Understandable. LOL. This area in general is very easy to forget about as far as backtracking goes cuz it's kind of hidden somewhat. I almost forgot it myself.
Sounds like you may have a bug, I had one with one of the puzzles I did but after I reloaded my game a time or two, the bug corrected itself & I was able to complete the puzzle. You will get to a point to where you can't move the laser down anymore, after that you should be able to use your limpets to slow down the lift enough to jump the pedestals and get on it before it moves up.
I thought this was bugged too -- you can't be right up next to the laser, you have to be on the ledge opposite and far enough away. The game does give you an indicator that Animate will be available (glowing glyph), but it's definitely not obvious what's going on here. This is one of the many puzzles in the game that are frustrating in similar ways and could have used a bit more polish.
I had a bug here where the right eye would not open and you may have a similar issue, try reloading the game a time or two and see if that fixes the problem. Also make sure you have the refract augment, if you just have disrupt then you can't do the puzzles yet.
It took a couple of reloads of the game for this one to work right. I would just try to come back to it later. It's fortunately not required for a trophy, so you can actually skip it completely if you're having that much trouble with it. From all the comments for this one, I may have just gotten really lucky here for it to work right. Thankfully, this was the only refract prism bug I encountered
If you are having problems with the eye on the right being open when you try to do the puzzle then you probably have the same bug as I did. I reloaded my game a time or two and the eye finally opened. If you don't, then I would still try to do the same and see if that fixes your problem. Make sure that you have the refract augment and not just the disrupt augment. Puzzles will not work with disrupt. Also, there were times when I just moved the beam around a little bit when I knew I had it right while still keeping it inside the prism and it triggered the completion.
It's possible, I encountered a bug with a puzzle on the palathon level so try reloading your game a time or two and see if that fixes your problem. Also the disrupt augment will not be enough to complete puzzles, you will need the refract augment later in the campaign. Another solution would be to try to move the beam around the prism while still keeping it locked in it, sometimes moving it around just a little bit helps trigger the completion.
Somehow i missed the platform that lifts up. I got it on the first try after i saw this video and found it,didnt even use the time slow down since i dont have it lol
Yeah, most of the refract prisms can be done without timeburst, though having it might not require as many attempts for some. I had trouble with this in the beginning without it though so that's why I decided to include it with it.
1:29 Excuse me.... How does this puzzle work exactly. I've been trying to solve it for hours and I cannot understand what I need to do exactly. Please help. I already have refract but I don't know how to triangulate with it in this particular puzzle.
Make sure the eye on the right is open, it was closed the first time I tried this & after a reload or two of my game, it opened up for me so I attributed this as a bug that didn't get fixed.
@@GamersofRivia Well... This is absolutely weird. I just tried it again. I didn't even touch the refractors... Barely moved my gem a bit and... It worked. I just spent hours trying to get this and now it happened just like that. I feel so awkward right now...
Yeah, sometimes on these puzzles you have to move your beam around while keeping it locked on the prism itself for it to unlock. It can be annoying even when you feel like you should have it. If I had it to do over again then I probably would have skipped this one entirely since it wasn't even trophy related.
Do you have the disrupt augment or the refract augment? The disrupt augment will not be enough to do the puzzles, you will get refract augment later in the main campaign & make sure the eyes light up where the beams are hitting them. Also, sometimes you have to move the beam around inside the prism to get it lined up just right in some cases I've noticed.
Acquiring the timeburst augment at the shrineforge later in the story will actually help a lot more with puzzles like this without taking a lot more effort. I just wanted to show that it was possible without it but I do recommend using a green gun with 100 ammo instead of 50 if you want to try it without timeburst. This is why I showed the gun in the video.
This was the second time I broke my brain with this game, the top was at caldera?Anyway where U must stop the time on air with spell & use Disrupt totem 🤯
Yep, where you have to make the green prism rise out of the lava pit. I skipped that one on my first playthrough because I didn't get the timeburst augment. I have seen people do that one without timeburst, but it's just so much easier & less stressful since the game can be good at adding to your stress level in other areas. Lol
The only refract prism puzzle that I encountered that was glitched was one in the Palathon involving the green refract prisms but was quickly fixed after a few reloads.
The eye on the right side won't open on mine I've been looking for a way to open it and still haven't found one I've been in this area for a least 45 minutes or so and still haven't found any way to open the eye up the eye on the left is open except for the one on the right. Need help please
@@GamersofRiviaI’ve just completed the red one and came here to figure out why the eye on the right side is closed lol I’m guessing it’s a bug like you said
You can get up there later when you get the grapple augment. You'll notice a grapple point floating on top of a rock next to a house near the cliff, there's a red switch on the other side of that rock that you can hit and move it closer to the cliff where you can use your grapple to get up there but this is a quicker way that you can do it earlier on to level up sooner.
If this is your first trip into the underdwell then you will not be able to do the puzzles just yet. You will eventually get the reflect augment which you can use to complete the puzzle with during the main campaign.
The first time I tried this puzzle, the eyes were closed then after a reload of my save file or two they were open so I attributed this to a bug. I tried to research it but came up empty aside from a few others claiming it was a bug as well.
@@GamersofRivia ugg, that's totally not annoying at all. Apologies if I came on a bit strong there, I'm just mad at the game but I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I'm very close to uninstalling because of shit like this, and the whole 'can't do that area yet, come back later' BS. Anyway thanks for the reply man, have a good'n
No problem, had my share of frustrations with this game too. For one, no manual save. Also, I feel the easiest setting is way too challenging & while I love a challenge, many of my friends do not and would have played this game otherwise.
Are you using the disrupt augment or refract? The disrupt augment won't work with the refract puzzles. Sometimes you have to play with the globe a little when you are shooting your laser into it & move it around while still keeping it on the globe itself.
Use the disrupt power to drain her red magic attacks so she can't heal or use magic attacks against you. Go in with a full immolate bar then when you hit her with that disrupt power, slow her with limpets then unleash your immolate power. Then just continue using disrupt against her. If you continue to have trouble getting past her, I would suggest focusing on the main campaign if you are going for the hardest difficulty trophy. Then after you beat the main campaign, change it to apprentice mode for an easier time with members of the six that you're struggling with. I found her pretty easy to get past when I figured out the disrupt power drains her magic. Disrupt works for all the red ones you will face like her in the main campaign as well.
You can get the time burst augment during your trip to the shrine forge during the main campaign. You will need to solve the refract puzzle to get to the shroudfane needed to acquire it. If you need help with the refract puzzle then click the link below. Be prepared, the Yltheum boss makes a comeback here. ru-vid.com0fHyW7FVsdU?feature=share
