I used to live down in Des Moines not too far from the fairgrounds. My uncle still lives there and it is funny that you are working on Monte Carlo. I have 2 now and I actually went to the good guys this year and I am finally buttoning up a few things on my tribute Monte Carlo for my dad and I am bringing it down next year. Where about is your shop?

Being gaslit, pushed around, stolen from, backstabbed, betrayed, tricked, bullied has led to my depression and social anxiety I can't trust anyone. Feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells been treated like a doormat. I'm sick n tired of being pushed around and exploited treated like a damn doormat. People take me for granted I'm fed up! Life is a constant battle I'm tired of hurting as well.
@mikesmith6594 man I do understand. I finally did have to take a stand and draw hard boundaries. Chased a lot of headaches off with that simple maneuver. Best of fortunes to you.
Hey. I have a Honda crv & it has some rust on the passenger side. I put great stuff spray fome in both sides. I don't know how to weld, or I would cut it out. I thinking fiberglass. It structurally o.k. but needs fixed to pass inspection. I'm in PA. I have fiberglass skills
Last "job" I worked I was the fabricator specifically. Had to cut up a 68 442 convertible and rebuild it. This was my simple solution instead of fighting it to position by myself. Easier to ask nice rather than beat on it.
Yeah knocking down all those stitches is a drag. But part of the gig. I think as I move forward and really develop this shop the metal work and metal finish is going to be a key component. Most I see getter close then pave away. I think I'd rather be remembered more akin to Winfield rather than Barris. And this is in no way some ego trip comparison to those two legends. I'm just a small town shop doing my thing.
It also has under structure in the rocker boxes. That reinforces the A pillar and stiffens everything up so when the full removable top is off it doesn't taco. The rocker boxes are like 12ga steel also
Up to 74 I'm pretty sure they were all unibody. 74 they went toward the Torino platform. Mustang ceased this year I believe, becoming mustang 2. Apparently enthusiasts refer to this particular body style (74-76) as the fat cat.
This video is old and looks like it was filmed by someone suffering from Parkinson's and using a 1st generation flip phone with a 1.3-megapixel camera. In case you were all wondering how the glass goes in.....disconnect the lower track closest to the bed (4 10mm bolts), lower the regulator arm all the way down, drop the glass in from the inside, and angle the bottom towards the dislodged track. Slowly raise the regulator arm until it engages the metal glide on the bottom of the glass, bringing it up most of the way. Lastly, reconnect the track that was taken off. Button your door back up.... Easy Peezy.
Once I get cleaned up and the pass through built between both areas. I'll do another walk around. 1600. Feet on the original side this adds 1200. It should be enough to get a good start.
Great to see your head in a good place. Youve got som many years of lifes lessons to fall back on and it seems this will be the success story. Good luck Adam !
