I’ve got an identical 4x4 2014 dodge ram 1500 I added the 2.5 in rough country leveling kit but once driving I’m hearing a grinding noise I can’t find metal shavings anywhere or see contact what could it be??
This is so unprofessional; I'm looking for guys that can actually tell me how not to f it up, like I already did. Looks like you had many of the same problems I did. I did not go out and get an angle driver; I guess I need one though. Thanks for the tip. As far as sealing, that looks good; but you didn't try to muffle any resonance, or seal the back speakers to the back deck. I needed help with the back; you guys completely gloss over it...
Absolutely legendary showing the D1S removal process. I don't really mess with cars but figured "how hard could a bulb be." Well damn one bumper removal later and I was met with Torx screws. Glad to know all I need is a T10 and I can finish the job. What a hero. Everyone else online only seems to show the low beams which is more straightforward. Fun fact, the OG sticker on my lights says "no serviceable parts, do not remove." My ass.
Hey man I know this video is kinda old but I just got this for my 2011 ctsv but the mass airflow sensor won’t fit did you have to do anything to make it fit or did I just get a defective part
Ravenol MDL is an alternative to the Castrol BOT 720. It's interesting that the dealership had to order the BOT 720. What else have they been putting in the differentials they service?
If you bring your vehicle to thise idiots I pray for you… Jesus this is bad.. no respect for the parts or vehicle. Messing around the entire time, have no idea what they are doing to make the job easier… wow
You guys seem like amateurs? Half the comments tell you better ways to do this lol… and all those guys are doing it on the ground on jackstands my guy… throwing the stock parts? What if he wants to sell those parts you moron!!
Having done this job myself (properly)…no way would I want these guys working in my car (video at 3:05 !) SC will come off without resorting to an engine hoist by using a pry bar between the I take and the heads at very specific points when the dowels are seized and not risk significant damage. 😮
I have a 2016 F-Type R with about 40k miles on it. Runs great but I get a clunking at low speed from the back of the car. Not sure if it's the diff or suspension. Seems like too low of miles to have suspension issues so I'm thinking diff. Never changed the fluid. Some have said changing the fluid would fix that. Just curious if anyone else has any thoughts on the "clunk" in the rear of the car. Again it's a low speed thing, like just a few miles an hour.
I had this issue, did a DIY diff oil change yesterday and it seems to have disappeared. Also, engaging drive and reverse doesn’t ‘clunk’ anymore… judging by what came out of the diff, it hadn’t been done recently (it was black, smelly and way too much in there).
recommendations would have been showing people how to actually jack up and brace the rear of their car since 99.999% won't have a lift. You don't show where the fill plug is. I wouldn't say the extension you used to remove the fill plug was short but more of a standard length. No real info or links to the fill pump device.
Out of all the videos I’ve watched this video is the clearest and easiest to understand, I’ve ordered all the parts you have even though the speaker bracket is now 45$ and hopefully this will go smoothly
Took the belt off and ran her today. Alternator is whining like an Ex-wife! Now I guess I have to wrestle with that. Ill fix that (I hope) then continue with the Super Charger. Again, Nice video! When I use my hammer things never turn out right! You guys rock! Taking that snout off, not for the faint of heart. Stay well! Thanks! Ben
Mine is whining at 1000 RPMs. Like a low groan. How many $$$$ s. ???? Should I let it get louder? Nice video even though I am still in denial. Nice job guys! I see I need to find a mechanic!!! I'm sad but I LOVE my V!!!!
Yours might have a bad bearing. I would check it out with a stethoscope if you haven't already. Bearing kits are available but getting the pulley off can sometimes be a pain even with a press and a torch
@MondayMods Nice video you guys earned me i subscribed. Question why didnt you guys change the filter for the trans plus the gasket and the pan? Do you recommend it or not? I dont care to save or spend what yall think? I have a 2017 gtr like 22k miles kinda aiming to change diff and trans .i treat my gtr gentle thxs guys yall funny
Riv Nuts are like a rivet that has threads in the center of them so you can install a bolt. Some hardware or auto parts stores carry them. They are also available on Amazon.
Thank you. I never came across a riv-nut. Now I see they are blind nuts used with metal after drilling a properly sized hole for the riv-nut. A bolt or screw is then used in the threaded hole in the riv nut. When the bolt is tightened, the rear of the riv-nut expands and locks the riv-nut in place. It was the fastener information I was looking for. The aluminum pop rivets used by GM/Chevrolet to install the OEM polyethylene spoiler lip on my vehicle are not shown in the GM parts catalog. After a prolonged Internet search, I discovered that these fasteners are a type of pop rivet called tri-fold, tri-bulb, tri-grip, exploding rivet and a few other labels. None of the other videos on You-Tube mentioned using tri-fold pop rivets to install a polyethylene front spoiler lip on plastic bumpers. Others videos used double stick tape and tapping screws to attach a front spoiler lip, but the way Chevrolet does it is professional and secure. When I go to these RU-vid videos, I am usually looking for a minor detail. Information is as useful as it is specific. Most of us who do our own work know something about our projects beforehand. It's these little details that we need answers for. The best videos are short and impersonal, omit the rambling rhetoric (sometimes with the wife and the dog) and contain these specific details.

In all respect, it's ok to resolve the noise issue with the actuators. I would use a thinner more penetrative based solution. Using grease will only attract & retain particles and may cause excessive wear on the moving parts (probably why Jaguar didn't add it themselves). Unless you clean and re-grease at regular intervals to prevent the build up. Go ahead and use grease and after one month remove and feel how gritty it is. Regular quick dabs of spray is what I use.
all that crap that kid has big spoiler and junk dont make it no faster kid cant even drive 8 is clearly better go make your car look fast but still only slow car
We used a high temperature brake caliper grease. Seems to have held up pretty well. However, we have since had it tuned, commanding the valves always be open. We don't experience the issue any longer.
