Pilot's cafe is a whole 32 page document now. Also, did you not read any of the handbooks? You only used what you brought up in this video??

To be totally Frank this is the one thing that i was really looking for. there are so many videos on RU-vid by people who have thousands of hours and they've kind of lost the perspective and for somebody such as yourself who just passed their instrument I think it's a pretty much the most useful information that I could find for my IFR check ride. thank you

Great vid bud, one correction tho, 7:34 when you spoke about the negative “C” on approach plates you said it’s for “alternate circling minimums” but that answer isn’t correct,…. Before 2012 they had standard circling minimums and after 2012 some charts might use “expanded circling minimums” if the negative C is there that means it’s the Expanded Circling minimums…. You can reference the Terminal Procedures Supplement page 6 on ForeFlight to see the explanation of that negative C

hey, Great video!! thank you! I did not know what the C means before you mentioned in this video either. I read the TPP (Terminal Procedure Procedure). In the legend section, it says that circling approaches developed after late 2012 used an expanded protection area, which has increased area with increasing altitude. these circling minimums for those approaches are marked by that C. those approaches designed with standard protection areas dont have the C in the black square. But, man, great video!!! thank you!

Great advice and great video. But be careful about saying on social media about what a DPE let you get away with because that's something to keep personal. What they let you slide on, the FAA might not approve of and might question the DPE's ethics and possibly cause a loss of the DPE's certification. Other than that great info video.

Awesome content and glad I watched this a month before my test. My oral was very scenario-based, which plays into knowing the pilot’s cafe sheet. I also made my own flash cards for the acronyms. They gave me my approaches AFTER I passed my oral. Passed a couple days ago, and am so psyched! Damn, that WAS hard!
