Planet Wild is a global community of people that deeply care about the planet. We're on a mission to bring back endangered species, clean up our oceans from plastic and to rewild entire forests to give them back to nature.
How it works: 1. On a monthly basis, our team selects impactful environmental projects; 2. The contributions from our global community are used to fund these projects; 3. Community members get video reports from our environmental missions, seeing the impact that they are unleashing with their contributions; 4. Step by step, our global community restores nature, increases biodiversity, unleashing a much needed systematic change.

To ensure that our RU-vid community remains a safe and respectful space for all, we've put together a set of guidelines that we ask everybody to follow: shorturl.at/ehsFZ.
I knew sun bears existed, because I went to Bear Country in South Dakota in 1988, when I was 12 years old. They had a sun bear named "Katy" and she was a baby sun bear and adorable as could be. (My mom still has pictures of me beside her, in a photo album) They taught us all about them so I disagree with you that "most people have never heard of them", there are places like Bear Country that absolutely teach about them and have them for us to see them in real life. Maybe in Europe, you all don't know about them. But US has done a good job of teaching us about animals that we should care about. Where, without them to show us these animals, then we may not know about them... but USA conservations and zoos are solely aimed at teaching Americans about animals that we would not see here. It's one area that I believe America does well. Thank goodness, too, since our citizens are most likely to offer donations into researching more about them. We love animals, here. We know more than you assume. Also, those comments about a human in a bear suit were JOKING. It's a joke. Because of how the bear stood. They weren't literally thinking a human was in a bear costume inside a zoo enclosure. Lol jeeze. 😂😅 Jokes! We do that. We make jokes. Lol
I don't know if you respond to questions in the comments and if you don't that's fine :). I just want to know do they do threat training on the Tenom, in the wild the mother Sun Bear would probably show Tenom how to deal with threats, such as a leopard attack, python, etc.. do they prepare Tenom for the wild in ways such as wild sleeping? When they release her on her own she will no longer be given the comfort of sleeping in the facility at the end of every day, are they taking proper precaution to make sure she's a light sleeper? Sun bears don't seem like very good fighters, so I wonder how she would do against a leopard ambush at night, I think she has much learning to do, but I hope and pray and I sort of just know she'll be alright, Jude seems like a very good surrogate.. and this video very much interests me. (Thank you for your time :) )

Being a Chinese I am terribly ashamed of the superstitions long held by the Chinese wellness communities that are perpetuating the killing and enslaving of animals like these bears extracting their gallblatter bile juice for huge profits. It is the same with rhino horns tiger penis and other exotic animal body parts that are sold in China and asian markets, which are creating an insatiable appetite for poachers that is driving these animals to extinction.
One more unsuccessful method to heal up species..... Only and one solution to save species you have to be a minimalist means less carbon emission and population
So correct me if I'm wrong. You plan to rip up the scrubland that now exists beneath power lines and replace it with what YOU think needs to be there. Let nature develop that land as it want to, at the end of the day nature knows what grows there and what lives there, NOT YOU.
This may force innovation in energy transmission, but I'd rather them give people money to build prototypes or mock ups of existing theories first to prove it could be done before implementing it.
1. Since we already build towers for the powerlines why don't we build them high enaugh to to reach over the Forrest? 2. Would make any kind of land management obsolete and look absolutely cool with towers 100 meters high. 3.Or is high towers so much more difficult/ expensive than smaller ones + konstant land management?
Have you ever seen a power line in real life? Generally speaking they have dozens of birds perched on them. The birds will eat all the insects. This idea is ridiculous.
I want to do my bachelor thesis in the environmental field, how do you get the requirements to be allowed to plant trees there? I am thinking that the responsible team for the power lines doesn't want trees growing into them. Thanks yall!
Great choice of 🎶. It’s a beautiful thing to see but it’s sad when some only think of food as if all creatures are put on this earth purely to satiate human appetites, whether for food or other kinds of entertainment
