Hello, can you make a detailed guide on how to install Custom Firmware for this MT E6? thank you! because I tried with the cHAos-gameMT_E6.aarch64-20240509 version fist i use balenaEtcher and make with my sd card Sandisk 64gb. it make 2 Partion Chaos ( 1.99gb ) and USB Driver (31.7mb ) after that i put it in my device e6 and turn it on. but I waited 10 minutes and it was still just black on the screen. @PopoPipi-rj4ld Luigi’s Mansion is okish, it will slowdown sometimes, but if you really want to play it, you can do it. As well as PS2, if you play some titles that they don’t require timings and fast answer time, is ok. PSP with Vulkan should be the highest emulator
This device is just a piece of crap. Terrible controls, terrible UI set up in Chinese for international shipping.. no Google play services, overall cheap and totally useless now that Anbernic 353 line is on discount with the same chipset, Not a single emulator pre installed, there is not a store alternative to PlayStore (that will not work). This is a pre alpha release of a device sold like a finished one. Telling someone to buy this is just a deliberate scam if you had it in your hands for more than 3 minutes. This is hands down the worst handheld released in 2023/2024. Stay away from it. Saving 10$ on another handheld isn't worth the time and fatigue needed to make this BARELY work.
353 is not comparable, smaller screen, smaller resolution. E6P out of the box is not a good experience, UI is bad and dpad is not the best. There is an CFW now with android 13 with gapps which makes the device better. To power on the device and play, yes, is not as in Anbernic. Anbernic is making devices for a while now and controls are the best. Don’t understand me wrong, I am not defending the device or something, but I will not go so extreme saying the device is a scam. After thinker a bit with the device you can get a better experience.
Hi, i downloaded and tried all 3 scripts separately on OS SD card (amberelec) but none worked. when i turn on console i cannot find port file in my r35 in OS menu. Can you please inform what should i do. I have low audio. thanks in advnance
Just write this github.com/AmberELEC/AmberELEC-prerelease/releases/download/prerelease-20240616_1004/AmberELEC-RG351MP.aarch64-prerelease-20240616_1004.img.gz and you don’t need any DTB replacement or scripts. Is just plug and play.
Same chipset of the R35S R36S only bigger screen and maybe the bigger battery will give same amount of game time because of it and the stereo sound but surely will sound better, i wish they make a console with wifi and bluetooth maybe for a future R51S or R36S flip (i hope they catch the idea of a flip console to compete with ambernic) i love Datafrog consoles because they are the kings of budget / quality, proof is that i have r35s and r36s regarded as my favorite consoles.
I already discussed with the factory about adding wifi to any of their series but until now they don’t have any plans, at least not on rk3326. As soon as they make anything new or plan to add WiFi, I will make a video about it. For the moment we can just wifi mode them as is plenty of space inside.
@MiguelDeMarchena they already tried that and they failed as the console it became too thick. For the moment they dropped this idea. But who knows maybe they will be successful in the future it a different approach.
So it's basically an underpowered version of the Powkiddy x55, with a lower resolution screen, a smaller battery, no HDMI out, a clear shell and the joystick position swapped on the right side. It all depends on the launch price. Either the Powkiddy X55 (if the price difference is not too high), the Anbernic RG35XX H (if you don't mind the smaller screen) or the Trimui Smart Pro (if you don't mind they joysticks) seem like better choices.
I would not put it in that category. The CPU is RK3326 while on X55 you have RK3566. So the price should be lower, somewhere on the range of R36S. At this point I don’t know as I don’t have any estimates when it would be launched and which price. As an alternative with the same specs you have GameMT E6 or if you want something better then X55, you have GameMT E6 Plus.
@@hackaround That's why I said it depends on the launch price. It's yet another RK 3326 device, so if it's around $60 (and eventually discounted), then it might find an audience. I would still personally go for the X55 for around $73 with no roms or the Trimui for around the same, just for the bump in screen resolution alone. The GameMT E6 plus is interesting too for having a touchscreen and running Android, too bad it's only 480p and the software is wonky. It's cool for people who like to tinker though.
@PrototypeOnyx e6 plus is same resolution as x55. You have everything as in x55 and you have additionally touchscreen and more emmc. yesterday it was launched android 13 for it and I made another release for linux side. Slowly is getting better. At this point I would go with E6 plus instead of x55.
yes. on both EmuELEC and cHAos you can access it and change it, or you can set to Core specific and aspect ratio will be set to default of the original game.
Is android, you can install apps. But the weakest point is wifi as it has max 150mb/s and are two revisions of this console, one it supports only 2.4 ghz, and a later one which supports also 5 ghz.
with Vulakn works okay, but is still at not full speed. it still has some stutter. N64 on android works at full speed. I will upload a short with cruis'n usa.

Good Video, but how is the Dpad on the device. i looks really weird and im concerned about how it will feel when playing with it. Should give good diagionals though.
You need to be precise when you press on it, else you will get some false diagonals. I personally like the classic dpad as I don’t play so many games which requires to press diagonal. So is a matter of preference.
I checked three different usb wifi in amberelec on r36s and none of them work, none of them work through the phone as a modem, the otg usb port works, what could it be?
Not all chipsets are supported. To use your phone in tethering and to get more drivers, make sure you are using the prerelease of AmberELEC and not the official one which dtb release as in the video from here.
Exactly what I was thinking. It looks cheap AF, the screen is huge and 16:9, but can't even run PSP at 1x properly... plus it has one of the worst D-Pads I've ever seen in my life and others have shown the horrible viewing angles of the display. There's simply no case for this other than to clear out parts inventory and provide people with a super cheap piece of plastic that runs PS1 games.
@Floating.Point. Is a limitation of the CPU, if you want something better you go with an rk3588s, but also the price will be higher. GoW seems to be a bit hard to emulate, but are other PSP games are working decent. IMO is good for the price especially if you want a horizontal device. But, yes, dpad is not that great, I still prefer the classic one
LEDs they can be turned off. I am not fun of circle dpad but I saw a lot of users which are very happy with it because you can press on the diagonal easy. Now I think is more on what you use it for, which emulators.

@BugDroidCell I made a video many months ago, but I never released it because once you remove the launcher you cannot go back because you need an activation code for the console, which nobody managed to get it. So if you are happy to use pure android then is ok.
Is there any chance of it being possible to install some version of Lineage OS on it? since it runs android. Maybe it would be possible to install some version or a port like 351droid or something like that.
I worked for a while to make 351droid to make it work but is hard without the sources. The problem is the original 351mp had a SPI flash for u-boot, this device does not have it and 351droid uses that u-boot, is not containing his u-boot like the rest of the images. So it will be possible but with a bit of work.
@HenriqueGabriel-gn1tl ok, I have a new android for E6 which is 64bit. Check the channel and you will see the video with the installation of the new android.
