Try using the TinyGPSPlus (by Hart) library and the FullExample sketch. Change the GPSbaud from 4800 to 9600 and ensure the serial monitor is at 115200. Take everything outside, press the reset button in the Arduino, and wait a long while. For me, I was surprised that all of a sudden, I had 4 satilights, and all the data was populating. I tried the sencond module in the same way, and eventually, it also started to display data. Good luck...

The RYLR896 works fine with Raspberry Pi also. The Pi has 3.3 volt GPIO pins for serial output, and it can also power the radio. You do not need a USB to TTL converter. I found that the "cutecom" terminal program works well with the Pi or other Linux computers, and I wrote simple Python code to send and receive messages. To test its range, I walked down the street using a Pi powered with a USB battery pack. In my experiment, the range was about 440 yards.
