In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Wheelchair Larry Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary?
Great shave Barend. That soap wants to be face lathered. That way all the skin food gets absorbed into the skin. This promotes residual slickness. I’ve found it’s skin health properties to be excellent! However YMMV 🙏🏽❤️
Thanks nice vid subbed and like. Been using this soap for around a week now. But I been scooping some out with my finger and putting it the whipping bowl instead of loading the brush then going to the whipping bowl. Will have to try this method.
Hi! Thanks for the support! It is greatly appreciated!! I also usually scoop out a bit in a bowl and make my lather, but sometimes when you are in a rush a nice face lather is my go to now a days. Hope you getting some great shaves in!
Great to see you back! I now have three MSC sets and it’s definitely not enough. The lather (for me) is by far the easiest and most consistent of all the soaps I have.
Hi Dan! Thanks!! It’s good to be back! I must agree with you… three isn’t enough 🤣 and that’s true, the lather is really easy to whip up and definitely the most consistent! Hope you can get more MSC soaps!
I must agree with you Master soap creations really is in another class, I have used some “niche” brand soaps in the past but nothing beats MSC. I am really excited to try this one out as well, because I love Chanel allure homme sport, it’s one of the best scents for men out there, so I am really excited to try this out. Also I am really glad to see you back on YT buddy, can’t wait for the next one! GREAT video as always!!🪒
Hi Fernando! Thanks man! It’s great to be back! I meant every single word about your soaps!! Next level premium class!💪🏼 Thanks for all your support! If it wasn’t for you I would not have been able to start my wet shaving RU-vid career!
Nice shave. I also find I have blade alignment issues with the Fatip Piccolo any tips on adjusting? I can’t see to figure it out one side seems to have more blade exposure than the other which is annoying. I like the shave I get with the side with the more blade exposure but the other side is like shaving with a different razor. I heard the older models had the alignment issue but I have one of the newer ones V2 I believe. Anyway nice video!
Hi!! What I usually do is to align it manually before tightening it completely, it’s a trial and error situation, but once you get used to it then it’s no hastle! It’s a great little razor! One of my favorites!! Very interesting to hear about the older models that have the issue… did not know that! Hope you have some awesome shaves! Regards -Barend The Wet Shave Cave
@@thewetshavecave I'm going to give it a try again in tomorrow's shave. I wonder if it depends on the blade as well. Maybe the holes in the blades where the posts go thru vary a bit? It'll be a an interesting project will let you know if I find success. Yes, I have seen a few vids and read on blogs that the first generation Piccolo was a bit notorious with blade alignment issues but the second generation have performed much better. I saw your shave tour vid and enjoyed that too! Keep up the good work!
So I’ve had two shaves recently with the Piccolo and realized how much I enjoy this razor when the blade is aligned. I think my problem was I wasn’t tightening the handle to the base enough. When I gave it and extra turn and a half, which really seems pretty tight to me, it seems to correct the alignment issue - not completely but enough so that I don’t have to use a different technique each time I use a different side of the blade. I used a Nacet and a SilverStar 👍
Very interesting!! Glad that you enjoyed the shave!! It took me a while to get the technique right when I just started. Now it’s like second nature for me.
Wow, we are visiting Durbanville in December, i'm sure hubby will visit Male Ego at least once - he does love a good wet shave!! Excellent video Barend!
Hi Michelle! I am very glad to hear that!! Tell those wonderful people there that you saw their place on RU-vid! They would be thrilled! Thank you very much!
Hi George Sarris, thank you very much for your feedback. This specific video was one of my firsts over a year ago. I have learned a lot since. Feel free to check out some of my newer video’s. Regards
Thanks for the support! Funny enough I don’t really shave with that Omega brush as often as I used too. My go to these days are my OUMO 28mm knot badger brush and a couple of my synthetics.
@@thewetshavecave Thanks. I'm on the lookout for razors with low aggressiveness for my coarse beard and prone to razor burn skin. So far the Slim Adjustable is the winner.
Hey there. New to the channel. I just picked up the vintage spice from MSC and, it is definitely a winner for me. This one sounds really nice as well! Have a great day and, good weekend. All the best! -Josh
Hi Barend. I note that if one hasn’t used a natural hair brush in a while it takes at least one lather for it to normalise. That brush should lather very well. But I noticed that boar brushes are more suited to painting style lathering as opposed to swirling type lathering. I also suggest loading more product and soaking the brush a bit. Thanks for the video ! We missed you!
Hi Jimmy, they are really a great shaving company! Just bad for me that I live in South Africa… we don’t have a reliable post office… so I am scared to order stuff from the US
Nice one I own oblivion by have a good shave ( hags ) very good products, IV just got a karve Christopher Bradley c plate brass razor 🪒 so IL give that a go Saturday 👍
I also looked at that one Stuart funny enough, but had to go with Dance Macabre… I just love that Fahrenheit scent!! Enjoy that razor!! Would like to hear your feedback on it
