As an academic neuroradiologist, I created this channel for people who are interested in learning radiology and neuroradiology, including medical students, residents (both radiology and otherwise), fellows, and faculty. There is a lot of content here that hopefully learners of all levels can benefit from, ranging from general approaches to imaging studies all the way to advanced reviews of disease topics. Board review for the American Board of Radiology (ABR) core, certifying, and CAQ exams is also covered here.

If you haven't already, please check out our complete web site, learnneuroradiology.com, to see the full content which is organized to make it easy to navigate. You can also search there.

Thanks to all those tuning in as well as other radiologists who have contributed to the channel and site.

Without contrast, can you see clearly all the arteries and veins on the skull? And this 7:48 is also without contrast? Why is it white and so easy to see?

Are Rotations at C1/2 section ever noted? If I line the direction of C1 and another for C2 vs the Cranial line - they don't line up.

I have non enhancing on both frontal lobes and then just found out non enhancing t2 hypertintense on Pons. My neurologist hasn’t been available since I got everything done. My left facial droop and right hand tremors I’ve had for many years but now I’m having numbness in 2 fingers. I don’t know if I should just give up trying to find out.

I just developed this condition after my body cleared COVID. I have an appt with my GP next week and my ENT the following. I also have a headache associated with the swooshing in my ears. Should I ask for both an MRA and an MRB? Or should I start with an ultrasound or CT scan of the carotid arteries?

'New research published in Human Brain Mapping provides evidence of a shared neural mechanism that underlies sleep disturbance and mental disorders in preadolescents. The findings indicate that sleep disturbance and mental health problems are both related to the connectivity between and within two important brain networks.' “I noticed the importance of sleep years ago when I read several papers about the immediate amyloid protein deposition in the brain after short-term sleep deprivation. Amyloid is neurotoxic waste in the brain and needs to be transported out by cerebrospinal fluid,” said study author Ze Wang, an associate professor of diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.' What is the role of CCSVI Venous Hypertension Impacting proper/improved Cerebrospinal Blood Flow and amyloid plaques tau accumulation? #CCSVI 'Researchers at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have compared how well different Alzheimer's biomarkers predict the progression of the disease and its effect on the memory. They found that early accumulation of tau proteins in the brain as measured by PET scanner was more effective at predicting memory impairment than biomarkers in the cerebrospinal fluid or amyloid plaque in the brain.
