Hi, we booked Ellaidoo at the end of August 24th. Your video is really great. If we go in August, will we be able to see the same scenery? Is there a house reef right next to the breakwater? Can we easily see manta rays, nurse sharks, tip sharks, and turtles just by snorkeling?
Sehr schöne Aufnahmen. Leider empfanden wir die vielen Chinesen auf Velidhu nicht nur als äußerst geräuschvoll, sondern auch als sehr zerstörerisch für das einmalig schöne Hausriff.
Wow! Outstanding video, you did a magnificent job. Perhaps you can help me out with a question I have, these dives seem to be in areas where someone with an Open Water certification can dive (they appear to be more or less 20m max dives and negligible current) right? Are these dive sites located about 2km offshore? Except for the Longimanus shot which appear to be deeper open water...I know that diving Elphinstone reef requires much more experience.
Glad that you like the video. Yes, those dives are mainly housereef dives or dives along the shoreline around Marsa Alam and not deeper than 15-20m, so suitable for OWD. We indeed saw the Longimanus at Elphinstone reef, which normally is a more advanced dive site because of the strong currents and the fact that you have to go there by boat. I really can recommend Marsa Alam and the hotels around. The reefs are all beautiful!
You got some great shots. I preferred watching the longer clips without the black transitions after the first few minutes. Nice music. (same as I put on many of my videos!!!). I hope to see as many things whenI go there in May. Well done!
Hi! First of all it's an amazing video! I wanted to ask, which places did you dive in? I'm going in 2 weeks to marsa Alam and I would love to have some recommendations. Did you go with a local company? Thanks!
Marsa Alam is a great place to go diving. We loved the most Abu Dabbab, Elphinstone, Marsa Egla, Dolphin House (Shaab Samadai) and Shaab Marsa Alam. But there are many more beautiful places. Enjoy your holiday and greetings to Egypt 🇪🇬!
It‘s a marine mammal called „sea cow“.The scientific name is „Dugong dugon“, that’s why it is also sometimes just called „Dugong“. There is also another species which looks similar, with just minor differences in the physical appearance, called „manatee“.
I think after filming dolphins together with a dugong you can stop diving at once and go straight into the bar. Just can't get any better in the Red Sea! :-)
This was filmed 6 years ago. I don’t know the current situation but 2 years back, we made this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xj_Z1COPXKA.html
