Please kindly don't force us patients to be antagonized by you " nurses" 😢 We have the right to say NO to any " tests and procedures" that we don't want done to us!!! 😭 Some patients have mental health issues 😫 And when you treat us forcibly and pressure us to something we don't want, you only traumatize us further !!! 😭😭😭😭😭 Please kindly STOP BOTHERING US, please kindly STOP PRESSURING US, and please kindly RESPECT OUR HUMAN RIGHT TO SAY NO to anything that we don't want done to our precious bodies!!! 😡

I fell from a tall ladder at home about 15 months ago, and sustained a TBI, breaking my skull, shoulder blade, and several ribs - which punctured a long - and had to be drained of blood. Also sustained 2 types of brain bleeds. Anyway, the patient's comment about remembering the food as not particularly tasty, reminded me that, in the beginning, after coming out of the drug-induced coma, I was given pureed lasagna! - Not my favorite lunch. lol

I'm watching from Chile, and i'm very happy to see the music acts like a glue on the hospital society and very sure helps to get over the pandemic times. BTW very nice chrismas song.

How people think that sort of violence in hospitals is ok is beyond me.

How people think being violent towards hospital staff is ok is beyond me. Unlike the police they can’t defend themselves, the security guards are poorly equipped to deal with this effectively.

Am I the only one thinking we should use this to try and communicate with animals 👀
@AlexRodriguez-gb9ez
@AlexRodriguez-gb9ez 8 месяцев назад
The ways our brain are differently structured make animal communication difficult(for example if there is damage in certain parts of the human brain we can't have grammar and that part of the brain isn't in animals), but I think you could map regions to other stuff -> like dolphins talk using pictures so we could map their sound waves onto our visual cortex, and map animal vocalizations and "grammar" onto sound vocalizations in our brains. Another thing we can do is create "artificial brains" to emulate for example the human grammar part of the brain connecting it to various regions in monkeys...

This will soon be the the only Thing separating AI intelligence from Humanity. Amazing. I wonder how having an advanced AI algorithm to decide what actions to take place on the computer could change the actions on a computer. Also what will start happening if we can get signals to be sent back into the brain to simulate certain computer actions internally.

I'm a student nurse (moving into clinical practice soon) and it's horrifying that we have to make PSAs basically begging people not to attack us at work. I'm all for reporting violent patients to the police immediately. Imagine working as a car mechanic and accepting being assaulted because "car repairals really can be quite stressful for my customers, but please, help me to help you".

Well, SHIT. This is EXACTLY what Dean Koontz just predicted in his whole "Jane Hawk" series: an injected and self-deploying neuro-net to control everyone's behavior and turn them into slaves with. "Good job,. folks!" indeed - retards. Just proves people can be both intelligent and stupid at the same time (intelligence being speed of thought and memory, while the smart/stupid axis depends on how one chooses to use that). So we can have wise but slow Indian shamans who get it right, and absent-minded mad scientists who do stupid things quickly and accurately!

I have a male child without ears. Is it possible to attach ears to him. He is 3 years old
@Thebeezzkneezz.
@Thebeezzkneezz. 2 года назад
Why would you want to change him Ears aren't like arms or legs he was born that way you should teach him to be proud of who he is instead of trying to hide his "deformity" "fake ears" would probably only make him feel ashamed of his natural "ears" when he's older.. It's different cuz he's a child and she's a adult you will hurt his self esteem. Maybe Just grow his hair longish if you don't want ppl staring and being rude But attaching ears on a child of any age sounds like a disaster waiting to happen 😅 prime target for bullies, especially if its detachable, theyd probably throw it around like monkey in the middle 🥺😂 (should wait till he's older anyway if he chooses to get them cuz he'd grow out of his ears quickly)

@@Thebeezzkneezz. Hey, you're being quite ignorant here.. We all get to pick and choose our battles in life, the kid is going to have life goals and interests, his life doesn't _have_ to revolve around having to deal with learning to love his auricular region's appearance exactly the way it is. A prosthesis can make certain situations easier, when your ear is not the first thing you want to be noticed about you. It may help with self esteem and allow you to just move on with life. Good thing.
@LiliS319
@LiliS319 2 года назад
@@Thebeezzkneezz. Key is to keep paying attention to how the kid feels about it and use that as the main guidance, don't be selfish. But sure, 3 year old might be early. But around age 6-7 could be appropriate, as soon as he's able to begin to learn to take care of it himself.
