I recently (about 6 months ago or so) checked out some rocket designs on steam, and apparently you can build the wall toilet on top of the entrance to the rocket, so you can fit in more stuff in. Haven't checked in the new DLC if they changed it.
I know you've posted multiple videos after this one, but once again I'm reminding you to use shine bugs to disinfect germs. Move a shine bug into the co2 pit where your fridges are and they will disinfect the fridges with their natural radiation.
Not directly but the Nodes have a large number of connections letting you increase the number of extraction parcels and production parcels to send them to. The throughput is additive for each parcel
thanks for this. i've gone through other popular videos where they explain the concept which is really good, but not the actual piping mechanism which is kinda frustrating to me.
I'm so many days behind...but I'm home sick so going to catch up today! Loving these episodes...this game has gotten so complex...I used to play but haven't in a long time...but still love watching it, lol...
I do have to agree, when you've reached the point where the primary threat to your colony is system lag, you've reached the end of your playthrough. It was fun getting here, though.
Hydrogen is a great thermal conducter. You can lock off your turbines and fill with hydrogen to help conduct the cooling/heat around. (I know this is isn't the newest video but I'm catching up)
Moving the ranch in a colder area is just another short term solution/waste of time. Built a proper cooling loop instead , with aquatuner in your steamroom, to cool down Ethanol to like -40. With that you can cool down the few farm /ranch rooms that need to stay cool, and then feed it to the plants for the bammuts. Is the unicorn farm with 3 trees even making enough to fuel the required number of plants for bammuth farm ? You have a lot of wood that could be turned into ethanol easily, more nectar/plastic from trees for other projects, 1 less farm to tend to.
If you build your rovers out of steel, you can deconstruct the rover landers for 400 kg each of steel. Each dupe lander is worth 400 kg of whatever metal you use to make it.
Not sure if you're able to read this comment, as YT has decided to block every comment or reply that I make. If you can see this comment, I just wanted to say Thank You for this series. It has been a wonderful journey, and has helped me through the grieving process. Some heroes don't wear capes, but they may play a very laggy ONI .
@@GrindThisGame Yay! They finally fixed. Am looking forward to seeing what you decide to play next, and have been catching up with your other playlists in the interim.
Sorting the gasses on the map reduces lag more than anything else you can do.. The particle physics are not easy on the ol processor. Just thinking out loud, hope it helps anyway.
As much as I enjoyed the series, I agree with you, the early and mid game is the fun part. You spent this entire episode piddling around doing nearly nothing. Except for the planet with the Experiment on it, they're all pretty much self sustainable.
@@GrindThisGame No need to apologize, I wasn't accusing you. You'd done pretty much everything there was to do other than the ending-the-game stuff like the temporal rift.
I find the rockets to be a grind for no real benefit. When you get to rockets your starting planet is just about done and the challenges on new planets aren’t that interesting. If you could more easily send does and materials around it would be better.
@@probablynotmyname8521 There's a couple of things you can't otherwise get without rockets, but you're right. As GtG showed, you don't /really/ need stuff like isoresin and thermium.
