Did you keep using this filament? I got some BIO MLA and I can't find any information out there other than your video.

hey! Yea I've still got some of the filament left from the spool, i will admit it was a bit more time consuming to dial in the right settings on my printer for it

@@andrewreynolds3d99 what settings did you settle on?
@meltopolis
@meltopolis 2 года назад
@@Giantgreenman I was printing with my craft bot XL and the settings were: Temperature of extruder : 260 degrees C Bed temp: 65 degrees C Speed 40 mm/sec The speed was really the factor, had to slow it down enough for the layer to adhere. Also Meltopolis is my new channel FYI where I post my recent videos! I hadn’t posted on the other one in a while

Would really love to hear what kind of sound it has! :)

It actually works! Only thing is the strings get out of tune too fast because the tuning pins turn in the plastic too easily. One downside, but it's a nice art piece!

I love it but it's so fast so I'll explain what I see so others can follow as well... 1) Used freehand drawing ellipse tool 2) Used rectangle tool in "erase mode" to cut one side 3) Finalized and scaled shape 4) Made copies and used bending. 5) Added resolution to get better bending results 6) Used round objects to smooth shapes 7) Pivot copies 8) Grouped each layer separately 9) Rotated, scaled, and positioned each layer 10) more transformations and deformations to get the desired shape...

Thank you! Yes sorry it's so fast. If I have time at some point I will go back and explain step by step with audio at real time.

Wow! Do you need a powerful computer to process such complex shapes?
@andrewreynolds3d99
@andrewreynolds3d99 5 лет назад
You don't necessarily need a powerful computer because SelfCAD is all browser based. So as long as you have a good internet connection should be all set!
