I used to race at kooragang Island in the 80s, stock turbo did low 15s,a full second quicker than a stock v8,my mates stock xu1 did 14.8 and beat vl turbos all night long

How much power this thing putting out at wheels?must be well over 400rwkw with hi stall n 411s or 3.9s and box is not stock or tuner been fiddling with shift points etc ,usually a stock ve even supercharged only go around 14s or 13s,seen plenty in person most were manuals but even with all that power could never get under 13s u can see auto stall diff gears tune changes alot along with slicks
Wow. just when i decide to not go for a 6l80 I see this. How have you found those TCM2650 controllers? There is hardly any info on them, and the software support looks a bit suss. I know you haved used them on other cars, would you do it again? How do they handle the torque reduction request? I am using a Link Ecu so can do stuff there to keep the box happy. Cheers!
Good trans tuning Dave, those presets on the adapts must be decent lol ...Especially if still running decent amount of nanna torque on the shifts..Gd work Pal
was a slow 10.8. This is my dads car. it's gone 8.7's@160 on about 16psi. but the track is not prepped at all for wednesday night racing, so it's useless for grip.

I’m thinking of supercharging mine, or keeping it NA with a stroker. Any negatives/downsides to the supercharger? Does it overheat? Belt slip issues, etc?

Awesome to see the 6l80e working in a vz. I really wonder what the PCS controller is actually doing. Likely just spitting out some CAN signals to tell the trans what to do. 1000 bucks plus is a big chunk of money and it would be unreal if that could be spent on an aftermarket ecu (link, haltech etc) that can then just spit out the required CAN information to the trans. That would be sweet!
@@TorqueupAu thanks for the info. I will keep poking around to see if I can figure2 out what the can info the box need to work and if I can makey link ecu spit them out. I like to think it would just be the normal stuff, rpm, tps, torque etc but sure there is some massive trap in there to cause issues!
