Nicht brauchbar für Kajak, Rennrad, .... Ich nutze den Forerunner beim Kajakfahren und Rennradfahren. Bei beiden Aktivitäten habe ich ihn am Sportgerät befestigt. ("Always On" und höchste Helligkeit bei Aktivitäten sind eingeschaltet. Externer Garmin-HF-Sensor ist verbunden.) Forerunner 265 und Forerunner 965 haben das neue Amoled-Display. Das ist bei voller Helligkeit auch bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung gut ablesbar. Nach spätestens 15 Sekunden allerdings dimmt die Uhr auf eine wesentlich niedrigere Helligkeit, um Akku zu sparen. Dann ist sie nicht mehr ablesbar. Aus dem gedimmten Zustand kann man sie nur "wecken" durch eine schnelle Drehung des Handgelenks (Geste) oder Knopfdruck. Das ist leider bei meinen Sportarten beides nicht möglich. Unglücklicherweise reguliert die Uhr zusätzlich ihre Anzeigehelligkeit abhängig von der Umgebung. An trüben Tagen wird das Display also nochmal deutlich dunkler. Weil ich da die Sonnenbrille weglasse, kann ich es dann mit etwas Mühe lesen. Im Wettkampf und zum Navigieren allerdings immernoch nicht brauchbar. Bei den Vorgängermodellen (z.B.: Forerunner 245) gab es das Problem wegen der anderen Displaytechnologie nicht. Der Garmin Support weiß keine Abhilfe. Lösbar wäre das Problem durch ein SW-Update, in dem entweder das automatische Dimmen abschaltbar ist, oder die Helligkeit im gedimmtem Zustand erhöht werden kann. Er bräuchte dann bei Aktivitäten etwas mehr Akkuladung. Ich habe die Entwickler angeschrieben, allerdings keine Reaktion erhalten. Der Rest der Uhr ist fantastisch!

Look at the people who finish.. they are calm as cucumbers.. they aren't being obsessed about the logistics wasting energy trying to be a quarterback
