Cuban tree frogs have become a vital importance too our food forest, we've seen many different species of animals, and insects actively hunt them out. Including but not limited to, Kite birds, Rat snakes, Black racers, praying mantis, Rats, Fire ants, Hawks, and many more that we've documented feeding on Cuban tree frogs. They are a great natural pest control, and help keep the population of June beetles in control, as well as mosquitos. You may read that they create too much competition for other frogs and amphibians, but we still see a large abundance of native frogs and toads living and breeding just fine alongside the Cuban tree frogs.
Interesting! Everyone I know gets rid of them as much as possible. I’m not sure where I stand. I don’t see that they will go anywhere anytime soon they are here to stay, that being said I’d rather not have them breeding in my food forest lol , my dogs are nosey and don’t won’t them getting poisoned or sick.
I have this and didn’t know you can put on skin for healing. Eat it Mexican dishes. Tea or dried and inhaled for bronchitis. And it grows like a weed. I have it in a pit but will transplant after first frost
