My Channel photo is of a 1952 Fender Precision Bass (serial number #336) that I had the opportunity to play/hold for about 2 minutes at Mandolin Brothers Guitars (Staten Island) in 2015. The price was $18,000. A real lucky chance to hold one of the finest existing examples of the first widely adopted/successful electric bass guitar models produced from 1951-54 (Fender P. Bass slab type, less than 2,000 ever produced).
Now this is a band who looks like they have been playing live for some time in all sorts of places and manages to recreate the studio sound with live play and playback tracks. Both the drummer and bassist were playing keyboard parts at different places in the song.
its weird because these 3 ARE playing their instruments but they are also playing along to some type of audio track. There is a shaker in the mix and a second guitar but no one is playing them. Watch the drummer, is isnt using a shaker, but it's in the mix the whole time. Most bands would just hire a studio musician but these guys pulled it off. I've never seen this...

This music is for pop music connoisseurs. Brilliant lyrics that could stand alone as poetry and chord changes that go far beyond that standard diatonic cliches. Incredible!
