Welcome to the Justwinginit You Tube channel. We are Aaron, Nancy & Shelby, the dog. Aaron is retired from the Navy and Nancy from teaching elementary school. We have always loved to travel but have never taken the time to see what is here in our own backyard!
Well, life happens and can turn on a dime so we decided to stop waiting for someday to travel and enjoy what our beautiful country has to offer. We left our jobs, sold our house and 99% of our belongings! The rest we squeezed into our 2015 Itasca Navion. Now we roam freely as full time RVers, looking for things that are fun, interesting, unique or down right odd to visit, do or learn about.
We've watched videos and done small trips to prepare but there is nothing like jumping in and Justwinginit!
Hey Nancy oh my God, it's been so long. This is Sheldon by the way, how are you and Aaron doing? It looks like you guys are having a fabulous time with your adventures. 🤓 So awesome 👌.
@@silktheshock hi Sheldon! It is great to hear from you!!!!! Zach misses you big time! We are good, traveling to every where we can. Drop a line sometime! Nancy
@justwinginit2022 Miss you guys too. I want to visit him too but I just can't seem to find some time to because of my busy work flow. But I'm trying to make it happen. I love what you guys are doing. This is great to see too. I love your content 💯👌
Good to catch up with you two again with your video. Fun video! Hope you're well. Sue and I went full time this past year as well. Hope to catch you again maybe at an Escapees event.
@@matsulli2086 hey Matt! Good to hear from you. We're still traveling as much as we can. We haven't been to an escapees event though since Lake Havasu 2022.
This is one of my favorite hikes in Arizona. About 6 of my buddies and I would hike 6+ miles in past all the pools of water to an area where the canyon walls became so narrow you would have to swim to get pass it. We would then climb up a steep, slick muddy embankment that was oozing water in order to reach a short trail that ended under the base of a very tall cliff. Large pieces of sand stone rock had broken off the cliff due to erosion which we stacked up to make small "tables" and "chairs". The cliff above us had hundreds of Mud Swallow nests. Years ago you could park overnight in the parking lot as we always camped over night. One year I came back to my truck and there was a ticket on my windshield for $50.00 for parking overnight. There were no signs present anywhere to say you couldn't park overnight. I stopped in at the Forest Service Ranger Station to talk with the Rangers and register my complaint. Behind doors I could hear two Rangers discussing my complaint and one said "what, they didn't put up a no overnight parking sign." Then he said sorry, We can't help you here, you will have to sent your complaint to the National Forest Service in August, Georgia. At that point I knew it was a lost cause. I sent in a check for the $50.00 fine, plus a heated letter saying please use this $50.00 to make a proper sign that says no overnight parking. By the way, we always packed out our trash and never left one shoe!
Wow! That's awesome that you went so far in! The best part of our hike was after the "trail" end and on down the canyon. But we only went about 1/4 mile. We hadn't brought lunch plus it was starting to thunder and lightning some (which I never timed right to get on video). I couldn't believe how many people had left shoes and bags of dog poop!!?? If and when we get back to Sedona, we'll do it right and continue farther down the canyon :-) . Sorry about the ticket. I can't remember if they had any no overnight parking signs this time but probably.
@@nathandodge665 this one definitely not that easy to get in or out. You had to be careful and watch your step. There's also craters of the moon in Idaho. It has some smaller ones. This one stretched almost a mile into the earth.
Good the see the two of you again on these two videos! Matt and Sue here, we met at Bash in January and did some jeeping with ya. We just got back to home base from the bash in Salida. Hope to catch up with you guys again sometime.
Hey there! Good to here from you. We'd love to go to another bash but haven't been able to make it work yet. Right now we're in Medora ND and probably heading to Glacier NP after here. It would be great to run into you guys again somewhere!
@@justwinginit2022 AWESOME! I am currently watching Ken Burns'The Roosevelts on PBS. Fascinating family beginning with Teddy and his devotion to founding the national parks....looking forward to your upcoming vlog on this park. Happy travels.
LOL Nancy! My first graders were amazed this year at the pay phone I showed them online and that you had to "pay" to make phone call. Lovin all the pictures y'all have been sending and looking forward to the next vlog installment.
@@wimbledunn8037so, thinking maybe you were on to something, I had to look it up and found The French were reminded of the Spanish conquistadors’ long beards, so they called it Barbe Espagnol, or “Spanish Beard.” The Spaniards got their revenge by calling the plant Cabello Francés, or “French Hair.”
OMG y'all! How did you not crap your shorts when that gator hissed at you so close-up??? Great video! Looking forward to more to come as you travel north on the Mississippi by-way :) (Nancy--I am going to show that to my class. They are obsessed with reptiles right now)
Hey Don! Always good to hear from you! We made it down to Biloxi and are staying here for a few weeks. Should be able to get some tennis and pickleball in for sure
Happy that a Walmart parking lot worked out for you!👍 Many years ago I tried water skiing and was never able to stay up on my skiis after taking a morning to try!🤬
I LOVE YOU TWO SO MUCH!!!! I had my hands on my face saying OMG OMG OMG OMG during that RVA city footage. No wonder Aaron was pan face when y'all got here! The telling of and the seeing of are two different things! I am SO glad you made it safely to my house. Seriously!!! OMG. I wish the cliffs had been better for you and that Shelby could've gone to Flag Ponds. Nancy, the hat on the hook! You are so funny! I love & miss you both! ♥♥♥ and Shelby!!! Thanks for making my house part of your Justwinginit journey!!! Your videos are funny and real and perfect!
Made me giggle. Take it easy on the pickle ball court, we don’t need any hospital stays. Love the wizard of oz music while riding bikes. Y’all are funny. Enjoy!
I was on the View/Navion site and saw your post. I am looking forward to seeing your travels. Great post by the way. Enjoy and be safe--and cannot wait to do the same someday ------------
Hey Nancy its sheldon I'm very happy and proud of you guys and your venture together. I'm loving your channel so far. Awesome guys 💪💪💪💪. Miss you guys. Loving the content 💯💯💯💯🤓
Sheldon! It's so good to hear from you!!!! We are loving the trip so far (but lots of omg moments, too..) It truly was scary at first but now its become our life. :>) Hope you are doing well!
@@justwinginit2022 I'm doing well Nancy. Thanks for asking. I definitely miss you guys. Believe or not I had thought about taking long road trips as a hobby of mine full time when I'm tired of working with and for clients at my office, but it's really scary to think about haha. You and Aaron's videos definitely inspire me to take the plunge and do it with like minded Friends 🤓.
